The big difference is that Obama was a black president in a black city, rightly the numbers would be huge.

Seems to matter a lot to you, as well.
Are you a trump fan-boi, too.

Here, the issue is not the crowd size, but the willingness of individuals who we call our countrymen to turn off their own visual and critical thinking centers of the brain to follow what the President says simply because he's "My Guy". I give one simple warning: This is idol worship.

And that is the non-partisan threat to our democracy.
President Trump depends on exactly that.
If the people reward his Orwellian demand that there are "Alternative Facts" for those willing to dismiss their own critical thinking, then we as a nation can expect it to only get worse going forward from both parties.

When facts are reported and simple photographs are reported and one party constructs a litany of lies, falsehoods and excuses, then it is fair to say that to Trump and his supporters popularity matters sufficiently enough to attack reality itself and it forces honest people to defend reality.

Why is Trump wanting more people than Obama at his inauguration so important to Trump and his little trumpets?
Sean Illing
So you think he'll be more concerned with his ratings than his policies, and that that will drive his decision-making?
Michael D’Antonio
Yeah, I think that's right. I think he'll be far more concerned with the ceremonial aspects of being president, with being applauded whenever he appears in public, and if that requires people being encouraged to applaud or shills being planted in crowds, that's in the Trump playbook.

I am sure it is rooted in some deep insecurity..His biographer touched on it in a recent interview, the whole thing is worth a read.

When did Trump demand that there are alternative facts?
Link please?
"You're saying it's a falsehood. And they're giving -- Sean Spicer, our press secretary -- gave alternative facts," she said.
Todd responded: "Alternative facts aren't facts, they are falsehoods."

No, you said Trump demanded that there are alternative facts.
Specifically I said
"If the people reward his Orwellian demand that there are "Alternative Facts" for those willing to dismiss their own critical thinking, then we as a nation can expect it to only get worse going forward from both parties."
And ironically I would add that anyone with critical thinking ability would agree that every-time he tells the press and public a fact not supported by reality and then reacts fiercely when questioned on those "Alternative Facts"..it is a demand that we accept his lies as truth.
What you seem to be doing is interpreting my words in a strangely autistic way. Autistic people have both gifts and challenges like the rest of us, but if you are autistic, please let me know so that we might better communicate in an overly literal sense.

Without any pictures, statistics or any other evidence, I would put money on Obamas crowd being larger.
.....
After seeing the photos and hearing the numbers, I feel that my thoughts were confirmed and he had a bigger crowd.
However, I also feel like the media intentionally used photos and numbers in an effort to downplay the numbers Trump did have, as evidenced by the clock photo that showed the overhead photo was taken at a time when Trump was not speaking.
1. Obamas crowd was larger
2. The media tried to make Trumps crowd seem smaller.

I don't know what that has to do with anything.
