Part of the problem for trumps inauguration was the increased security to get into the area.
Many people did not want to deal with it.

It was just as bad as trying to get on a plane at the airport.

Many of the people that supported obama were young and had no problem walking a long way and standing in the area.
Many of the people that supported trump are older and instead of walking a long way and standing for hours just stayed home and watched on TV.

also many more people were unemployed in 2009 then 2016 and did not have to take off work to be there.

You may be correct, there are many factors that can go into this, bottom like though...Don lied about the turn-out, it was not bigly.

do you know me personally? do you actually know ANY liberals?

Do you know that there are more republicans on welfare than liberals doing what you call "freeloading"?

Do you realize that the red states are the poorest states?

Spicer coming out and saying something was exactly what the liberal news media wanted. It fits the narrative of Trump's ego being wrong AGAIN. The problem isn't whether Trump was right or wrong, but that Trump and his administration can't let it go. There're far more important things to be doing than having Spicer fart on himself, a full 2 days before the official first press meeting. The MLK thing could have been communicated another way. What fools these people are. They're no better than most of us in this forum.

They need to get over themselves and fast. One example:
www.marketwatch.com - U.S. economy set to grow less than 3% for the 10th straight year...

Then I am going to assume you made a false claim.. I say this because welfare records dont denote political party affiliation. Several polls / research surveys by Pew and others actually show democrats make up the largest blocks of people receiving welfare assistance (Food stamps / public housing / medicaid / etc).

Stop making stuff up please. Its gets annoying having to correct the false info people put out for no other reason than to malign a person / group / political party they dont like / understand.

You mean like the "ctrl-left fake news fact" that you're using the term welfare in lieu of "federal aid to states" which are two different things? One goes to individuals (which are predominantly Democratic voters) and the other goes to states.

Boiled down, the core of your entire argument is this: the majority of people on welfare are also the same ones voting to support a party that wants to do away with welfare type programs.

Do you have any idea how positively moronic that is?

I know you're trying to twist what I said into what you want it to mean (kinda like you did up there with your "facts") but unfortunately it's not quiiiite working. Good try though.

Yes...It is actually astoundingly moronic...but real..

Lets choose something like Food Stamps (does that qualify as "Welfare" to you? or are you planning on not defining it?)

1. Mississippi
2. New Mexico
3. Oregon
4. Tennessee
5. West Virginia
6. Louisiana

Note: DC would be in there if it were a state.

Or maybe a map will help

But damn! Trump sure does say stuff they like to hear!!! Lock her up!!

Yes..it is MORONIC...Yes...his supporters voted against their own safety net.

You're still talking about states, not people. Glad you used food stamps, though.

Pew Research shows Democrats outnumber Republicans on entitlement programs, especially food stamps

Good try

Fake News. Classic example.
This is a worn out narrative that tries to be appealing in it's simplicity - perfect for propaganda.
Unfortunately it falls down when you drill down and understand that democrats are in all states.

Democrats are about twice as likely as Republicans to have received food stamps at some point in their lives—a participation gap that echoes the deep partisan divide in the U.S. House of Representatives, which on Thursday produced a farm bill that did not include funding for the food stamp program. Overall, a Pew Research Center survey conducted late last year found that about one-in-five Americans (18%) has participated in the food stamp program, formally known as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. About a quarter (26%) lives in a household with a current or former food stamp recipient. Of these, about one-in-five (22%) of Democrats say they had received food stamps compared with 10% of Republicans. About 17% of political independents say they have received food stamps. The share of food stamp beneficiaries swells even further when respondents are asked if someone else living in their household had ever received food stamps. According to the survey, about three in ten Democrats (31%) and about half as many Republicans (17%) say they or someone in their household has benefitted from the food stamp program.

I can't believe there are people here on ATS that are *still* falling for obvious media manipulation. edition.cnn.com...

There. Even CNN aren't trying to lie about how many people were at the inauguration. Deny ignorance? It seems some of you are wallowing neck deep in it.
