Media warns of inauguration drone bombing, not 'safe'

Something on the "Today Show" from NBC about drones and the inauguration.

Some "expert" is warning of possible disruptions.

And the SS is taking steps to diffuse.

Is there any real threats ? Or is this just hyperbole.

Media warns of inauguration drone bombing, not 'safe'

The media is raising concerns about a drone bombing at the 58th Presidential Inauguration on Friday.

On Thursday's "Today" show, a report indicated that U.S. Secret Service has put in place several anti-drone efforts out of concern that an I-inspired "flying IED" will smash into the crowd, or worse.

The report quoted an official from DroneShield, a drone countermeasure firm, saying that the Inauguration "is not something I would feel safe at."

Maybe it is a false scare to keep attendance low, to make Trump look unpopular.

But, there are enough haters out there that there is a risk of something bad happening.
Drones would be a creative way to get in there.
But, I would hope someone would shoot it down before it got close.

2nd terms ofor some presidents. The person/president is counted once, the ceremonies counted, separately.

If I were Trump Id have surface to air missiles,patriot missile systems,whatever the equilalent of iron dome in America is and F22 raptors in the air his enemies have capabilities beyond flinging urine and dung.

Damn this whole thing from the beginning feels like I'm watching the wwe now, it all feels like something Vince McMahon would do for ratings. It just doesn't feel real cause it's been so full of craziness, I'm not a fan of trump but I am very much willing to give him a chance on this.

That could explain why alot of government officials are not going, they might know something we dont.

But Phage is the voice of logic and reason on these boards - I agree with everything Phage says, so until he comments I will refrain from opinion.

I don't like trump actually I despise the man.

I also think however that many in the corridors of power in Washington agree with me. I do not doubt for a second that at some point some very powerful people have had a discussion where they have at least asked the question "could we kill him"
