'Bikers for Trump' to Form 'Wall of Meat' If Inauguration Protests Get Out of Hand

Wow! This certainly is an interesting thread! While reading it, I felt like I was caught in cross fire!
But in other news, the guy who organized this rally (lawnmower guy) seems to be after his 15 minutes by trying to drum up support for a law to keep national parks and monuments open when the government is shut down. If people would pick up after themselves and not try to steal everything that wasn't nailed down when the park rangers weren't around, that would be groovy. But I don't see that happening.
If the bikers want to ride up and stand between the Trump supporters and the mindless dingbats who simply want to act stupid and crash the party, I've got no problem with that. Let's hope that everyone acts like adults!

No one is saying "all bikers are the same".

Clearly "all bikers" don't go into situations promoting themselves as some sort of vigilante security force.

The issue is that these bikers are openly declaring their vigilante-security-force intentions, and that it appears they will likely be encouraged by Trump supporters towards situations where, unlike police, "rules of engagement" don't apply.

If some protestor decides to be an idiot, and a bunch of opposing idiots behind the "meat wall of bikers" also start egging them on and chanting for action... it's a recipe for disaster.

I think most of us that are left in the thread agree that this is a recipe for disaster. I don't think any of us agree with it, but really not sure we have any way to stop it.
