Just think back in October the Russian people were being told to prepare for Nuclear war, now there are people wanting to name streets after our newly elected president. But now that the world wide threat of a HRC presidency and the Obama presidency is now almost in the rear view mirror, the threat of that horrible war seems to have simmered way down.

A man named Bizyukin has launched a petition to change a name of a street in the city he lives in to "Donald Trump Street".

Bizyukin has launched a petition to rename the little alley into "Donald Trump Street" in honor of the US President-elect, saying almost 300 people had already signed.
"Some saw it as a joke and signed because it was fun, some stood for normalization of US-Russia ties, and some signed because they don't like the name of Godless Street," Bizyukin said, shivering in the cold wind.

He says that the change is do to Trumps popularity in Russia for wanting to change the US-Russian relations.

He acknowledges that his petition is less about Trump himself and more about using Trump's popularity in Russia to advocate for change in US-Russian relations.

Bizyukin says he feels the US is often unfairly portrayed as a threat to Russia but that the people in Ryazan and elsewhere have a much more positive attitude.
"There are enough options for cooperation, for friendship, for economic cooperation, as well as culture and other fields."

Nice seems like the Russians and Americans have alot in common. It is too bad that our govt (corps) were and are apposed. Trump seems like a breath of fresh air, we will have to wait and see.

I was not laughing at the Obama war drums pointing at Russia.

Then I really was not laughing that HRC could have won the election.

But now the jets seem to have been cooled, and hopefully Russia and the US can get to building a relationship.
