Well Hollyweird lost their originality so who freakin' cares.

I hope if this happens we have a new movie industry that actually managed to get things done.

if they do go on strike they might find out that they no longer have a career to come back to when the strike is over because people will see that we can survive and prosper just fine without a bunch of overpaid hacks making movies with recycled plots and crappy acting.

As far as them going on strike I am fine wit it. They should take a long break with the writers and try to come up with a decent movie when they return. I hardly ever watch TV or movies anymore because it's crap.

Because the studios would have no problem marketing a movie directed by a modern Ed Wood, written by a Razzie award winning screenwriter, and starring the barista down the street.

Sure, the millionaire billionaire A list stars can strike. It won't hurt them one bit. But the average Joe/Flo working at the movie studios doesn't have that cushion to fall back on.

If not, then I say fantastic...I can live with movie reruns, and binging on in-the-can TV Series, a lot longer than the Hollywood elite and their financial backers can handle sitting around doing nothing and not making money.

I am sure if this ever gained traction (which it would not) the "Hollywood North" film centres in Vancouver and Toronto would be delighted to pick up some of the slack.

If the "Hollywood Elite" want to strike to protest, then by all means do it. But all you liberal progressives who claim to root for the common man might just want to think what such an action would do to the "least of you." Not the rich-bitch Golden Globes schmoozing, party hopping, private jet-setting set. But the little guy. The technicians, the wardrobe assistants, the gophers and prop movers. They don't get millions per picture. And they work harder than the stars. If Hollywood strikes, the only people hurt will be the bottom echelons of Hollywood. It won't hurt Trump. (And it sure won't hurt the fans.)

But hey, what's a little sacrifice? Yep, Meryl and Whoopi and Company...go ahead and throw your crewmates under the bus to make a political STATEMENT. That should make you guys feel good about yourselves.

Agree, this is what's known as "shooting one's self in the foot". Their ego knows no bounds and if they would only look at the huge number of people and all the counties that voted MAGA, the changes that are happening in our economy since Trump was elected and before he has even taken office, they would realize that a little Trump beats a lotta Obama any day of the week.

As I have said before, a tsunami of true change has come and America is ready. The revolution is here. The liberal minions can cry and scream till they turn blue in the face but they can't stop it and the public at large will see them for what they are, immaterial and worthless.

The ones who can afford to not work for 8 years are making a decision that affects the people in the industry that depend on work to live. .....

I wonder if some of them have some kind of secret intel that has lead them to these mind boggling acts of treason against the office of Presidency? Maybe Hillary promised them all seats on the ships planned to leave earth when shtf? Perhaps a promise of life for them and their families after the socialism of America?
