Dear all...

Palestine has multiple names and different meanings/interpretations....
In Arabic it's called and spelled(from English ambiguition) Filisṭīn or Filasṭīn
Roman(Latin) is Palaistinē
Hebrew is Palestina

It's a region but its meaning is more like "North America"....which could refer to the continent or the northern region of the country America...just as "South America" could be equally misinterpreted...or rather mislabeled....the "Midwest" of the United States is a decent analogy but Palestine is more like a Russian doll with multiple layers of meaning...

Whatever the case regarding semantics I feel sad for the families of the fallen...

Um.. attacking soldiers isnt terrorism. It is a normal act of war as sad as that sounds.

Still should be pushing for peace either way.

Technically, no he is not. He was more a defector/infiltrator. Which is why he wasn't changed with terrorism during his Court Martial. Doesn't mean I agree with him or his actions.

I appreciate your answer...and thank u for being clear in your convictions...

This world is not entirely understandable anymore...more specifically it is not so easily categorized...
In World War II, for example, imperial Japan was a fairly defined foe...[though FDR had some difficulty in his ability to grasp that Japanese nationals often were patriotic Americans]...
To the point, we knew the war zones and knew who the enemies were…
The battlefields of today could be a mall in the Pacific Northwest or a protest rally in Dallas…

It is very hard to fight or defend yourself against someone who is impossible to define or recognize for that matter...
Or, to be more accurate, impossible to agree on a definition...if the world had been in disagreement on who the Nazis were and what they represented then the war would have been handled entirely different...
For example, would the allies have possessed the will to firebomb civilian targets like Dresden if they did not have a monolithic, almost caricature version of their foe ingrained in their brain?
The Nazi regime was horrific but many individual Germans were kind and good people…
But in order to defeat the bereft ethos Naziism we were forced into a corner because the only way to beat back their terror was to dehumanize them…to be fair, many of the Nazi leaders lacked all humanity so it was fair to view them as nothing more than villainous sociopaths...

Of course, here is the rub.

When reconstructing Germany, Patton often left former Nazi officers in their posts because he recognized that after their defeat, many of them were at least competent and had been more or less forced by circumstance into being what they were. He was effective at weeding out the real monsters and leaving the hapless collaborators to make his job easier.

Had be removed them the same way we removed all of Saddam's former army officers, we might have failed at rebuilding Germany.

There is no and never was a nation/country called palastine, nor has there ever been a group of people called palastinians until their creation by arafat.

There was no first king, or sultan or whatever you wish to call someone They are as real as elves and vampires....and just as there are people who claim themselves to be vampires....they are not.

If you believe Paris is the capital of France, and London is the capitol of England...... then to say Jerusalem is not the capital of Israel.... is just ignorant.

At the rate things are going Germany is in danger of one day having to defend its claim that Berlin is the capital city..... and there will those of you out there would question its validity.

I always discuss with people that the man who helmed NASA during its glory days was a Nazi and beloved by Adolf Hitler…

Werner von Braun was, to me, the most brilliant scientist of the 20th century…
His only competition was Tesla and Einstein but Von Braun wins IMHO..

The Von Braunasauras flew mankind to the moon… The greatest achievement in the history of our species...

I'm not aware if von Braun ever set foot in England after World War II and had he done so the British may have brought him before their high court and hung him…
They were not a fan of his V2 rocket to be sure...

But I digress… To this op, it is very hard to define our enemies of today because they don't wear a little arm band with a swastika or a rising sun on it…
If they did it would be so much easier...

That's just it. We refuse to acknowledge that our enemy is not defined by a geographical border but by religious ideology and that ideology is spreading itself around the world using our own ideal of religious tolerance against us.

Until and unless we accept this reality that not all religions are created equal and of equal worth and that we can indeed be at war with one or at least one aspect of one, then this is going to be our reality and this war will export itself all over the world.

A shadow vast and terrible is being cast over this good earth and our high minded western sensibilities have made us entirely susceptible to a foe of this nature…

The virus of radicalism will infect the world as smallpox infected the new world five centuries ago…

And all that we once held dear will be lost...
A war of ideals has been foisted upon us…
Pitting religious zealotry of a bygone age against the high minded west...

You cannot win a war against a foe who loves death more than you love life…

There was a time when we possessed the will to defeat such a foe and did so against the mighty Imperial Japanese…
Possibly the greatest fighting force man for man to ever grace this planet...save perhaps the Comanche...

And until we are ready to do the things that must be done against such an enemy then we will be resigned to die by trickle rather than a deluge....

This is not conventional warfare....our foe looks at the battles in terms of centuries as we look in terms of minutes...where we see a decade they see a millenia...

With sensibilities so polar opposite as these one culture will eventually be snuffed out… It is inevitable and the way of things sadly…

This may trigger you, but Jerusalem is in Palestine.

And the blowback from this sad event will likely affect them, not Israelis.

Unless you think air strikes & retaliatory settlements are destined for Tel Aviv?

yeah except palestine was never a country so.. you cant occupy a non existent country. And isnt jerusalem in the original Israeli mandated Borders? Jersalem was originally in JUDEA until the roman catholic church with cesear renamed it as a insult.(the UN/league of nations used the roman maps because they were most accurate with a few exceptions like Judea/israel being renamded)
The roman leader actually went and had all the maps redrawn to reflect this. In short he was a A hole.

Actually according to Geneva conventions it IS terrorism. They are a non uniformed force and are not recognized as a professional army. AKA illegal combatants. And their actions terrorize the general populace. IE terrorism.

Will link a twitter feed that has a from distance video. While these Terrorist attacks are shocking at least the small percentage that are perpetrating these acts are showing themselves and so getting sent to where they belong, the collateral damage is always the payment and we hope it is minimum.

Terrorism in Israel can only and exclusively be an EU orchestrated terror operation to legitimize british imperialist sponsored resolution at the UNSC of a few weeks ago.

EU is the main culprit of terrorism around the globe every single time!

Palestinians have no real future on this Earth. These attacks are essentially their last attempt at gasping for air.

I dont get emotional anymore, im just waiting for the day when they realize that they've annihilated themselves by being so stupid.

Soon....

The lack of defined borders to this war could incentivise a one world government.

Marking religious territory begins with a global definition of world religions, Along with a census or vetting of individuals allegiances to these defined religions.

Only approved religions will be tolerated. That's how I see this obscure boarderless war evolving.
