God creates us and loves us but if you're gay you go to hell?

But WE have to forgive to go to heaven? God is in control of everything. He creates each one of us in His image, although some of us are born gay. And if we practice a gay lifestyle we are damned to hell to burn and be tortured for eternity. Why can't he make it not so, if he loves us so that we are with him in heaven because that is what he wants. So if you are gay you are condemned to a life alone to never feel love or affection to what you know as normal. A man just doesn't wake up one day and say hey I want to wear a dress and be with a man. These children are being born this way. Not the girls that play around and think it's cute, but the for real I'm in the wrong body type. What have they done to deserve this and shouldn't God being the understanding God He is be forgiving and want us to experience life at it's fullest and to be happy here on earth? So I'm born gay and if I do what I feel is right and normal and brings me happiness in this life I will burn forever? For the record, I am not gay. I would like to hear what my ATS family feels on this matter.

I think God couldnt give 2 shytes who you stick it to provided your both willing.

Its people using religion as an excuse to control people who have the problem, not God.

Most people feel that it would be right and good and normal to have sex with just about anyone they are attracted to, but it's not. Read your Bible. You are supposed to confine that activity to your spouse.

And yet, there is a consistent culture today that says, "If it feels good, do it." That pretty much teaches a lifestyle of instant gratification, the idea that if you are attracted to that man or woman at the bar, a hookup is A-OK, and that kind of lifestyle is perfectly fine.

There are plenty of folks who live that way and are unrepentant about it. They're living in sin as much as any of the people you mention. They have the same issue.

No god is going to punish you my friend for being yourself, only other humans have the inate capacity to be asses. Those "holy" books that make such claims were written through the filter of fallible humans...inspired or not.

My wife and I left organized religion years ago due to such low brow inconsistencies. We meditate and pray and follow the golden rule.

Religion was created to control people. Ever notice, bloody royals, church higher up all have one thing in common, they all wear funning big hats!

I think some of the writers of certain parts of the bible did have a very spiritual side to them, probably having experiences a lot like mine that made me believe.. But what I've run into only has love for everyone in it's heart.

Um, no one is talking about promiscuity, the OP is talking about being born gay. That its 100% natural yet frowned upon by the bible.

If you still think being gay is a choice, then i assume you have never met a gay person and spoken to them. In 2017 mate, grow up, no one chooses to be gay. I can assure you that my brother has never once, even for a split second been attracted to girls. Ever.

If you're born gay, you don't go to hell.

According to God, hell is for people who "disobey" his laws.

To disobey, you must "choose" to act against God's laws.

If what you do is not a choice, then there's no judgement.

Of course, we believe that most of what we do on earth, is really a choice.

Even heterosexuals, have a choice whether to sleep with someone or not.

Today we divide people into homosexuals and heterosexuals, but God never created this distinction.

At least, if God did create these two groups, he never told us about it.

It's not written down anywhere in the scriptures.

I'm going to be controversial by saying that I believe the majority of gay people are simply following their lusts. They *had* feelings for women but later on they *also* got attracted to men. So they followed their desire and chose for men instead of women, as time passed by their attraction to women were no longer there.

People who do not believe in God can't see way there is anything wrong with being gay. People who do believe in God know that having intercourse with the opposite gender is going against nature. That's why both sides will never understand eachother on this point.

Wan to know something funny about these so called good and decent people that go to church and say such things. In the Nnj area on Craigslist, there is a pastor who multiple posts in the gay tranny for tranny section asking them to come into his church in Elizabeth to be "saved" but really the guy seems to have a fetish for these people because he only has post in the gay areas of cl, talk about a bunch of hypocrites which is why I absolutely hate the church and the fake f*cks that are in there all the time to make themselves look good to everyone else.
