I like Gold Star better, but yes they are describing Skyline. But all the Cincinnati chili places are similar.

I would go out and have a three way on many Christmas Days. But to be thankful for being open and working, I’d always hand the waitress a $20 and the bill and thank her on the way out. I figured a $12-13 tip made up for it a bit since dropping a $50 was out of my budget.

I live in western Missouri, not Cincinnati, but I put baker's chocolate in every batch of chili I make: no meat, all beans, spiced to the max. Oh wait - it's the dip I make from the beans that's spiced to the max. Yummy! I developed the recipe while living in New Mexico.
