The Most Convincing UFO Footage I Have Seen.

Most convincing? What does it convince you of? What you have here is a "Daylight Disk" on the Hynek Scale, a step up from a "Nocturnal Light," the lowest point on the scale. Yes, it does have a contrail, which would suggest a jet engine or the equivalent. The cameraman says it was "too fast to follow," yet he followed it just fine. He says it "stopped suddenly," but you really can't see that in the video. There's no reason to disbelieve him, but that begs the question. What do you have here?

A light in the sky.

Yes, yes. you have the contrail, but what does that signify? A jet engine and a terrestrial origin.

Secret aircraft? Sure. Aliens from space? Ummm, no. It is a very convincing light in the sky, but that's as far as you can take it without invoking your imagination.

Never seen this footage before but I have seen Aircraft stop and start leaving vapor trails.

That said it is interesting when they zoom in and there is something to the left of the object as well leaving or had left a trail and and oddly strange patch that the object is flying toward.


Not sure what to really make of it as it isn't spectacularly odd just never seen it before.

Back in October 1971, my local TV Station ATV where filming a news report in Oxfordshire on the subject of Farming.
Whilst filming, the film crew noticed an object in the sky. So they turned the cameras toward it.

The film crew describe the object as being a orange/ yellowish colour and circular in shape.
They describe the action that the object took and also the resulting vapour trail.

The enclosed link supplies both film footage of the object and comments made by the film crew to what they witnessed.

Well the video is certainly interesting in that the vapor trail breaks for a period of time then resumes and it does appear to be moving very quickly towards the end of the video.

As others have said...never seen this one before...nice thread!

I really don't think it is an aeroplane or a meteor.
p.s. I hope the nights clear around here soon... I want to be out in my observatory looking up again

The problem with the footage is that until the vapor trail, there is no reference to determine if the object is moving or stationary...just a bunch of blue sky. Then the cameraman stops filming for some odd reason.

It's not a meteor, though. That would have a trail the whole time visible.

To me it's more probable that they were observing something like this posted video below.

It's looks bizarre at first, unworldly. Then as the videos proceeds you see it's an airplane.

Im with you.

As presented, indistinguiable from an airplane.

I think you have to take into account that what the eyewitness's where saying was in fact true.

They claim:-

It was circular in shape.
It was spinning.
It came to a dead stop, accelerated and stopped again.
The rate of acceleration was extra ordinary.
Vapour trail was much thicker than an aircraft.

None of the above are characteristics of an aircraft.

The testimony is compelling.

The video is crap.

It's too bad that good definition video wasn't invented way before airplanes were invented. An entire group of possibilities would be eliminated when a UFO was filmed.

Mankind would be as certain of Extraterrestrial visitations today, as we were 500 - 5000 years ago.

The reasons i find this footage compelling.

It was filmed by an experienced outdoor film crew, who must have witnessed aircraft flying overhead on numerous previous assignments. However they never felt the compulsion to film anything previously. This instance to them must have been out of the ordinary.

They must have witnessed more than they filmed. After observing what was going on, they then felt the need to turn the camera toward it.

Maybe it's the parts that weren't filmed that would give us a better clue to what it was.

Airshow plane playing with a smoke system? I used to make smoke dashes in the old Stearman for the fun of it. Nice, thick smoke. They had plenty of that in the '70s.
There's a skywriter at the local airport here and when he does his thing, it looks not too different from the video.


It does move kinda weird at the end of the video, though.

Air Shows in The U.K. are held between the end of April to September, due to better weather conditions and longer day light.

This footage was filmed at the end of October. So no, not anything to do with an air show.

People practice for air shows on any good day year round, though. Could be some recreational guy with a stunt plane.

Like I said though the way it moves at the end of the video is really weird. It has a violent acceleration to it which would suggest if it were a plane, it would have to be incredibly powerful, like a military jet.. which kills off the stunt plane theory about 90% effectively.

I guess what I'm saying is that it -looks- like a plane, but does not -move- like a plane.

Very good post and very interesting video. Gets to the point doesn't it where coincidence and strange happenings just do not happen for no reason. I do think we have had the wool pulled over our eyes for too long and basically we are being literally left to die. At least die in the beauty of information and progression. It seems that those in power do not feel that you or I should be privy to their (superior knowledge) as they put it and may well be the very reason we have religion. To pose that their is a supreme being, all knowing and that we are merely feeble minds.

Makes you think doesn't it.

The cameraman looks like he is from the 1980's not the early 1970's.

To me that is a meteor, it looks like a dot firstly maybe the trajectory or it has yet to burn up as it enters the atmosphere.
