Mysterious Message Warning Residents: “something terrible is going to happen”

A viral marketing campaign perhaps? In bad taste.
First thing that popped in my head. Or a psychological experiment from our friends at big brother co.

Isn't Chicago a sanctuary city? Aside from that, didn't they also disarm Chicago or create many Gun free zones within the area? Is Aurora a Gun free zone?

My question is, which road ways and can google map help? Anyone else live in Chicago to help fill us in on any strange activities in road ways? Anyone live near Aurora to Investigate?

I looked at the highways with Google Maps. Two are standard state highways that ran through town on either side of a river. The third is an interstate that crosses those two at the north end of town. There is a bridge over the river, but there are not extensive overpasses or anything like that.

So unless they are looking to riot up and down the state highways, treating them like mainstreet, I'm not sure what there is there.

If this is a viral marketing campaign on the other hand, there are lots of businesses up and down those routes.

If this is some kind of warning of a bombing, likewise.

Like every single similar event in the past, it's a marketing scheme yet some person here will always post when the next viral campaign starts that it's something ominous.

If that's what it is, it's a really crappy one since the last one at least had lots of symbolism and related imagery. People who follow some of the online stuff at least can somewhat see the connection being made. This has none of that at all.

Many of you here are reading WAY too much into this..... again. This isn't the first time a stunt like this has been used. In this case specifically, these have been distributed in at least 3 different town and yet Aurora, IL is the only town specifically mentioned. Well wouldn't you know it, there's a Planned Parenthood in Aurora, IL. The "terrible" thing that will happen is there will be an abortion at that clinic, and everyone will ignore the death of an innocent unborn baby while they are all out getting drunk and celebrating (you heartless bastards!). I'm so sure that I'm right about this, I'd be willing to place a rather sizable bet on it.

Please don't buy into this crap. Anything that you think is cryptic or has meaning, doesn't. It's a distraction to keep you on the edge of your seat, so that when you find out where the answer is (likely a website that will show you a video of babies being aborted), you'll go check it as soon as possible.

If I'm wrong, you may come back and flame me. But I'm right.

88, 30, 34, 25, 31, 56, 59, 110 are the Aurora highways - or, highways that run through/around Aurora.

It sounds like the anti-abortion angle is probably pretty solid, though I wonder if any billboards have been noticed tied to this (or if they've been cancelled) - my guess is law enforcement has been focused on this, PP, and CCTV at the malls.

I'll also venture a guess that its tied to (someone at) the two Mega-churches mega-churches mentioned, as the movie theatre parking lot is not no to far from Willow Creek and the mall not far from the other church.

I live near AMC South Barrington, my brother lives near PP in Aurora. Neither of us has seen any signs obviously related to this, but we haven't been on 90/290/355 lately either (the major highways in the Chicago area.)

As for IL / Chicago and guns, IL is a concealed carry state.

Can you tell us of any clues traveling through roadways? Pictures evidences that may help? Anything out of the ordinary including "spiritual" ones with weird symbolism's, or even people acting strangely.

It seems that warnings (in the form of cards placed on hundreds of parked cars) are appearing around suburbs of Chicago warning residents that "something terrible is going to happen" in Aurora, Illinois onDecember 31st., 2016.

You could be on to something with the hourglass image. Perhaps it's a significant clue.

Most likely it simply means that the "clock is ticking" (or the hourglass sands are falling) toward Dec 31.
