Facebook Executive Arrested For Soliciting Sex From A Minor

Some trouble may be coming to Dov Katz's way. He allegedly is involved in an under-aged proposition for sex. He was arrested and is out on $125,000 bail.

Dov Katz head of facebook's computer vision was arrested for allegedly attempting paying $350 to have unprotected sex with 15 year old. The 15 year old was part of a sting.

The head of Faceb0ok’s computer vision at Oculus VR, Dov Katz, was arrested in Seattle on December 21 for allegedly soliciting sex from an underage girl. According to police records, Katz allegedly attempted to pay $350 to have unprotected sex with someone he thought was a 15-year-old girl who was actually an undercover cop.

Katz was charge with attempted commercial sexual abuse of a minor. The "girl" who was an undercover cop said Katz tried to get her to go to him, she convinced him to come to her.
The story continues Katz is on $125,000 bail. And is forbidden to be around any minors with out adult supervision. Katz also claimed that he was going to rescue the girl, but during the phone call he made sure the "girl" had enough condoms.

Katz, 38, was charged with “attempted commercial sexual abuse of a minor.”

According to police documents, Katz wasn’t actually texting a 15-year-old girl, he was instead texting an undercover police officer from Tukwila Police Department.

Katz allegedly responded to the online ad knowingly buying the prostitution of an underage girl, which was posted by an undercover detective identified as “officer Sudel” posing as a 15-year-old girl.

Katz then tried to get the “girl” to come to him in which the officer replied “I don’t feel comfortable going to you.” Katz then stated that he would meet “her.”

Sick people like him deserve swift and harsh punishment.

Why do they set bail at affordable prices for the rich and extortionate prices for the poor as well?

People like him need to be given a court date, found guilty then sentenced.

What my question is how do we ensure that after he is out that he won't do that again?

Going to prison is not designed to deal with this type of sickness. So sending him to prison for a mental problem isn't helping him or society.

What do we do?

That's the problem--our justice system has gone from being concerned with rehabilitating individuals to just putting them in a holding cell so that society doesn't have to deal with them for a while. Who they become while in and who they are when they get out is inconsequential to "the system."

Probation, which he'll likely receive if/when he gets out (assuming incarceration), can't ensure anything, other than a minimal attempt at keeping tabs on someone. But to be fair there never really are any absolute assurances in life.

Ultimately it is a choice. But what of the urge? Just like same sex relations, there as to be an urge right?

No, he's not an executive, nor does he work for facebook, as inaccurately stated as if it were fact in both the title and the OP. More interestingly, however, is the fact that your source and the original source from the misleading OP both state that he is an Israeli citizen currently living in California. Wasn't there some melodramatic hyperbole about Israel posted earlier? Very interesting.

It's an aversion to protecting innocent people, usually as a consequence of experiencing such an ordeal as a child. Then there are those with money who pay for such arrangements, as seen in this instance. They're rich, there are many sick ways for rich people to spend their money.

Agreed, as a society we need to determine what we should do with pedos. What we are doing doesn't seem to be getting it done.

Do we jail them

Do put them in mental hospitals

Do we chemically or for real castrate them

Or do we keep slapping on the wrist

Is this worthy of a death sentence
