Steam - is it down for you?

I can't connect. The is it down website says it is. Anyone know of any maintenance due today?

yes it is down , no connection to the servers. winter sales are going on so doubt they would do maintenance but that is just my 2 cents.

It's funny as hell! People are on message boards FLIPPING THE HELL OUT that steam is down! Boy oh boy are we in trouble when something like this causes people to lose their freakin minds.

I never understand that , i got a ton of very fun singleplayer games i can do in offline mode.

Like me. My whole clan depends of it. Mostly old dudes from different countries, we never miss our weekend games and beers. Those liberals did it !

Yeah, my husband made the fatal mistake of logging out of a game to reboot to access the Steam store. I'm still logged into the same game at the moment, not having any issues with their servers. It's the Steam end of games (steam-side) having issues right now. If you can launch a game through an alternate manner (like the game's own stand-alone launcher instead) or stay connected for the time being instead of relaunching via Steam, you should be good to play. If you want to go nuts in the store today, you're SOL for now.

Meh, start in offline mode. Play Fallout or something. It'll be alright.

I have Steam but I haven't used it in a while, and I'm not aware of anything going on there then again, I'm a week or so behind with this post.

Thanks though I might just go take a look at what they've got there.
