I agree with your second point but not so much the first.
If the US Government owned all the Big Corporations like China does, the Private Sector would howl like a stuck pig because having the government
owning all the major corporations would have a HUGE effect on the private markets especially when government can shovel boat loads of money to prop up
their Big Corporations which business do not have.
