A few of my friends thought is wasn't much good, but I though it was an excellent film. The ending had a great twist, just what you'd expect from
the director of The Sixth Sense.
I found the story and characters to have a resonant quality with the conspiracy based way of thinking, with a few parallels to current politics. It
could well be a deliberate theme incorporated by the screenplay writer and director. For example (spoilers!!!):-
The way the elders of the village use superstition and fabricated 'bogey men' to keep the villagers in line echoes strongly with the concept of the
politics of fear, war on terrror etc.
All in all a great film, I reckon!
