So, let me see if I have this straight:

Russia trying to influence election results == bad.

Media trying to influence election results == good.

Correct?

America trying to influence election results == good.

Ideologies that don't reflect the majority of States == bad.

you should at least consider the reality......you know for the sake of critical reasoning and what not. If Cali and NY for instance cant see what, lets us say, concerns others about the way they run their little republics and how that would effect the whole then man I cant help other than suggest a mental/intellect hyperbaric chamber.

Wow, how screwy is this thing?

So, let me get this straight...Electoral College can vote for anyone as a majority and they go on to be President?

Or am I mistaken?

If the former is truly the case, then there is opportunity to give the Presidency to anyone they deem fit, whilst I would welcome this (Bernie!), this seems a little crazy.

Worse still, the ad telling people to vote for a qualified person is low...if POTUS truly is open to all for the running, then it seems ridiculous that the winner can be replaced on the basis of qualifications, at least in the eyes of those on the advert.

Even worse, that they can run adverts for this kind of thing, to curry favour.

If EC overturn Trumps win, which I doubt they would, but if they did, that would cease to be a democracy wouldn't it?

can someone fill me in, I'm hoping I've got this wrong.

I'm not certain whether you are suggesting I or others in CA should reside in that chamber.....
But I do know for certain a vast number of the populous here should be in solitary confinement.

One has the rights of being an American the other Russia is not American so has no rights. Do you understand now?

Objections

Since 1887, 3 U.S.C. 15 sets the method for objections to electoral votes. During the Joint Session, Members of Congress may object to individual electoral votes or to state returns as a whole. An objection must be declared in writing and signed by at least one Representative and one Senator. In the case of an objection, the Joint Session recesses and each chamber considers the objection separately in a session which cannot last more than two hours with each Member speaking for no more than five minutes. After each house votes on whether or not to accept the objection, the Joint Session reconvenes and both chambers disclose their decisions. If they agree to the objection, the votes in question are not counted. If either chamber does not agree with the objection, the votes are counted.
