Trump spend millions of campaign dollars on his own businesses. Yes he's smart at business- smart at enriching himself.

No, the obvious question is: Was there open bidding, and if not, why not?
Is open bidding required?

Read the article, he spent $12.8 mill on his businesses and 8 mill of it was on flights.
Considering the miles he racked up during his campaign and you include his entourage that seems reasonable.
As for the amount spent by a candidate on his own businesses being unprecedented Id like to know how many other previous candidates had businesses that it would be possible to utilise during a campaign?
Another Anti Trump hit piece that fails miserably

I recall him saying he put in some $100 million of his own money.
U.S. President-elect Donald Trump pumped a total of $66 million of his own money into his campaign - far from the $100 million he frequently boasted he was going to spend, according to campaign finance disclosures filed on Thursday night.
Trump-related business industries - those bearing his own name, including his private jet and the Manhattan building that served as his campaign headquarters - received $11 million in payments from his campaign.
