Sorry if this has been posted I did search but found nothing and it is a new story...

I noticed on the BBC news just now a video clip showing space enthusiasts from Wigan, UK sending a pie into space.

It was only a short clip so I went to YouTube to see if I could find the full clip. I didn't find the full one but found a longer one.

Here is the video.....

What got my attention in the video was at the 20 seconds mark where you can clearly see something shooting from earth at high speed.

I have no clue as to what it is but thought someone on here may be able to shed more light on it?

It looks like lens flare from the sun... that beam of light follows the suns "rays"

Just after the 49 second mark you can also see the flare (and others) returning back to earth from the sun

Warmest respects

Whats very interesting about that video, the pie wasn't there in the original video however, is that while the camera is panning (or spinning) you can see the earths curvature only to see it flip concave and back to round again. Fish eye lens obviously....but boy, if the fish eye lens wasn't on that planet would sure look flat.

I was thinking how the lens was helping in making a sphere object curve the other way as you point out, when I realized if it does this, then the natural curve of the sphere should be exaggerated to look like a "n". But it doesn't... It just curves equally on both sides, meaning the middle is a straight line...

PS To add; I also see a lens ray than an actual ship leaving, and returning to earth, as pointed out.

Yes. You can see another similar lens flare at the :37 mark.

The pie probably did not go high enough to really see the curvature. Because of the fisheye lens, we can't tell if any curvature (even a very slight one) is detectable or not.

I thought Northerners knew the value of pies , what a waste of a tasty meat and potato..

If there were Aliens up there surely they would have beamed it aboard , Aliens gotta eat.

Blimey, that looks like a Pucka steak and kidney pie and I'm eating one of those this minute. Could this be synchronicity or the Mandela effect. The hairs on my neck just stood up. But I knew it wasn't my pie because my pie's got tomato sauce on it.

It heads towards the sun, just seconds after, another streak comes out the left side of the Sun.

as others have said... lens flare.

Now I'm not a user of evil jokes or even creator and please don't shoot the messenger but here is what I got. It's like You aint never gettin that pie, as in getting a piece of the pie or like you can't have your cake and eat it too. Only the person who it's meant for can't ever get it.

It's more likely lens flare or some other type of reflection on the Sun on the lens.

I say that because we can see the same effect that they are calling a UFP several other times during that video, such as at the :37 mark and the :49 mark. Each time we saw that effect, we also saw the Sun.

Wouldn't be surprised if there were some Southern students involved in this experiment...

They probably thought it up whilst drinking crap gnats pee lager from down South...
