our animals full of. American's have been growing at an alarming rate and its not just fat, in the 1930's a woman's average shoe size was a 5 now it is 8.5 so our frames are getting bigger as well. Many people would account for this saying it is because of better nutrition but is it? Back then there were not that many prepackaged items you ate more fresh vegetables, more homegrown foods and less and I mean a lot less prepackaged food, and no fast food either. Now we have been shooting our animals for slaughter up with hormones for better weight and return for our money. Its in their feed I think. Of course this would seem to be absorbed into their systems and would affect anyone eating the meat as well. This is of course theory and not even my own I have heard other people mention it in the past. Has there been any research into this?

People are getting fatter out of lazyness, instead of cooking a meal, or going to a decent retaurant, they go to taco bell or mcdonalds.

More than the hormones, is the High Fructose Corn Syrup in everything. Thats stuff is BAD BAD news. Read up on it. I do think hormones in Chicken etc are leading to children going into puberty much earlier though.

People are getting fatter due to easier lifestyles and eating too much damn fast foods and cakes. Eat unprocessed Fruit, Vegetables, Meat, etc and you will not gain as much flubber.

Humans are natually supposed to "work" for their food. Hunting it,
gathering it, finding it all took a lot of exercise and spent a lot of
calories in the process.
We don't have to put much effort now in modern times into provideing
food for ourselves.
Just a trip to the grocery in a car or going through a fastfood drivethrough
takes little effort and burns few calories.
The exercise we lack now because of our modern conveniences needs
to be made up for.
How about haveing to power your television by pedaling a generator
attached to it?

You stop pedaling, the t.v. goes off. lol.

Hmmm Fast Food and Lazyness, call me crazy but Fast food and eating out are in other countries as well. Its the processed crap we eat. ( Not that no exersise also contributes) But look at the French (and then smack them j/k) They eat several smaller meals a day keeping there metabolism constant. All the persoanl trainers will tell you similar, eating 6 small meals a day is better than 2 or 3 larger meals.

Also Americans emphasis on time I think personally contribues, Dont have the time to steam your veggies, or even cook, its easier to hit taco bell up.
