President-elect Donald Trump announced Friday that the new head of his White House National Economic Council will be another Goldman Sachs executive. Gary Cohn, who is president and chief operating officer at Goldman Sachs, joined the Wall Street firm in 1990 and has since served in leadership roles involving bond trading, according to Reuters. He eventually become co-head of broader securities at the company and was promoted to co-president in 2006.

Gary Cohn? Seriously?

We knew that Hillary was taking money from Wall Street. We knew the degree of corruption of the Clintonian dynasty. We knew how much the system is rigged to serve the interests of the banking mafia, but this is beyond imagination for a candidate that has been fully promoted as 'anti-establishment'.

I wonder how anyone can lam-blast Clinton with a straight face and support Trump at the same time?
We are ruled by Crony Capitalists in this country folks rather than successful people that made it to the top on their own merits.

Out of thousands of smart bankers working at regional banks across the country, Trump or Hillary for that matter pick from the To Big to Fail, the King Crony Capitalists, the bottom of the barrel.

You guys obviously interpreted what he said wrong, he's going to build a wall to prevent the swamp from draining!

Bankers and hedge fund managers have been getting put in key positions for decades now, Trump is only continuing the tradition, building a dam (wall) to keep the swamp full.

The worst part about him picking Goldman Sachs Stooges is that I remember quite clearly, then betting against their own clients in the 2008 Financial Crash.

Many supporters of Goldman Sachs said "Buyers Beware"

So how can people that are OK with Trump picking Goldman Sachs also say that Goldman Sachs will be working for this country. We already know from their history who they work for and it is not for this country, it is for themselves.

Bolton was forced to resign as UN amabassador because of his open contempt for the UN globalist agenda.

That is right on par with the voter mandate that got Trump and republican majorities in congress and senate elected.

Goldman Sachs have their mitts in every Globalist Scheme you can shake a stick at.
They did not earn the nickname "Vampire Squid" because they were working for this country

For many, The Donald is their messiah, come to lead them out of the miserable life towards that glory that is "America Is Great Again."...Today's Donald, is yesteryears Obama, both represent Change.

Totally agree! I said it before I'll say it again he is the Republican "messiah" just as Obama was projected as the Democrats "messiah"! And like Obama before him Trump will do very little to bring about any real "change" to the status quo...

I agree as well

Obama is too "Hope and Change" as Trump is to "Make American Great Again"

Obama is to "He is going to pay my rent" as Trump is to "He is going to drain the swamp"

Thanks for the votes chumps

Why are people arguing about a Goldman Sachs executive being nominated to the position of his "White House National Economic Council"

Seems like a good person for the job, It has nothing to do with private citizens whatsoever..

Just another anti-Trump thread . Some folks should actually research (and I know that is an unknown term for some) ,
who the "bankers" (GS is an investment firm, not a bank) are. They are all registered Democrats. Of course , you didnt know that , either . Look at their views on some subjects before you post. Not just jump head first into an article just because it matches what you want to think...
'No soup for you"

republican, Democrat...... if you have been on ATS and fallowed conspiracy theories for years. Then by now you should know that its just an illusion. THEY ARE ALL THE SAME, CONTROLLED FROM SHADOWS

It all boils down to this. Maybe Trumps intentions were good from the beginning and he meant all that he said. And maybe not, maybe he just played us all. But one thing I know for sure is after that first meeting with Obama at the withe house. There was this look on his face that said it all. That was the time he find out who's really in control and there is nothing he can do. Because they have dirt on him to. Yeah they do....we are all human and we make mistakes and trump has made some very big mistakes that we know of, wonder what there is that we don't know. Either way he was placed to run for presidency knowingly or unknowingly. But he was picked thats for sure. Do you people really think that TPTB would give up the United States World Empire that easy??? ohhhh no no nook noooonoooooo

And again, why not pick from the thousands of smart bankers at regional banks across American?
What makes a Goldman Sachs Boy different from CEO at a big regional bank?

It is not their merits or success but their Connections and Cronyism that they provide.
More Crony Capitalism infesting DC rather than successful people that got there on their own.

And with what bernie sanders said the day before November 8th, which was to hold our officials, or president, accountable....

They now have to operate their business in the interest of its people, not the interests of its company. This... this is actually quite brilliant, yet stupid, but con founding if you ask me.

Honestly everyone thinks they are going to run around creating lies, scandals, ponzi schemes... but if they do..... and it goes against our interest? Could we actually sue our own government?

Maybe all we have to do is hold them 100% accountable. If they fail they need to be fired.

In a strange way by putting these banksters in to positions of which they must play by the rules of the government... don't you think it will make it that much harder for them to try and leave us holding a dead cat in a bag?

well sorry to remind you but these people have been in government before and how has that accountability worked for you americans so far?? Is there even one case pending??

Exactly
Everyone already knows these people from the To Big To Fail and Global Corporations have been embedded in our government for how many admins now?

We already know how that has been working out

Priebus, Haley, Ryan, McConnell, McConnell's wife, and now Puzder. It sure looks like we've been sold a bill of goods.

Globalists, Pro Open Open Borders and Too Big to fail Banking insiders

If Hillary would have won there would be 0 difference

The NWO Globalists won again

This thread alone makes me happy he's president. The levels of salt and butthurt is all worth it.
When I tell my daughter of the great meme wars of 2016, I'll talk of the KEK and salt mining. I'll tell of the Zero snips given. I'll tell of the decline of the MSM and how Breitbart took over the news.
All of this worth it just for the lols.
