Elliott County, Kentucky

The voters in Elliott county are not racist, they voted for Obama twice.
The funny thing was, it was not even close. All those democrats abandoned Hillary and the democratic party in unprecedented numbers.

It's not the kind of big county that will swing elections. There are just 4,581 registered Democrats in Elliott County. They far outnumber the 429 registered Republicans. They are either the greatest political anomaly in the country, or they value tradition so much that they resisted the countless generational and political shifts of the 147 years since the county's founding.
Never mind all of that — they voted for Donald Trump 70%-26%.

That is a whole lot of donkeys changing direction at the same time. Hardly a coincidence.

I think yours may be one of the best presentations of why Trump win to grace these boards.

There was just 'something unacceptable' when it came to Hillary. Yes ... she was a bold-faced liar. But, I think there was some subliminal fear produced in the 'hearts' of Democrats through the continuos crescendo of lies flowing out of the MSM.

I wish one of the Great Thread Writers of ATS would take that up and document it. I'd hope they'd start with how all the poll numbers reported in the lead-up to the election were brazenly faked.

I've recently looked hoping to find some definitive source nailing this down while it's fresh in our memories. Alas. Maybe here at ATS. If only I had the skill.

Interesting. Thanks for posting. Both pro and anti Trump people need to take a close look at this. It happened all over the country. Yes, we know about the popular vote in Boston and L.A. But counties like this, an overwhelming number of them. are what made this happen. As you see here:

Personally, I'd say Trump won because he lied.

He catered to every audience telling them what they wanted to hear.

Even though he actually said nothing - - - they believed him because they wanted to.

Nobody wants Hillary's lies though.

Just as it had been said. The Democratic Party have moved away from the True Blue Kennedy style Dems and have moved too far to the left . Some of the folks in the know are cautioning the party to move back to more center left. With the advent of keeping Pelosi as minority house leader , and Ellison may be appointed DNC chair , looks as if they are taking the exact opposite trail.
I.E. they are completely abandoning their true base for the Progressive Liberal base. Shows in the chart , yes ?

Mostly because Hillary Clinton got caught off guard and was PROVEN to be a liar.

Hillary has been ripping us off forever.

Trump wasn't Hillary.

That's the reason he won.

How many times are we going to see that picture? What do you think it shows exactly? I'm just curious. I know what the appeal in the image is because "omg look at the red!" but it only takes 1 vote over a half of all votes to flip the color of a county. Do you imagine that all of those places are devoid of folks who voted for Clinton?

Keep showing that picture though! Can't get enough of that thing! Here's one that I'm going to post every time I see it:

That's not perfect either but it's a closer representation of the make up of the vote.

The results of the electoral college dude.

What's funny is, your picture still doesn't change the outcome...

Personally ? That usually means thats what I think. However , behind the scenes their is nothing to back it up . Thats why sometimes it is better to hide behind the wall of "personally". Especially the Left
Looks as if Trump is basically backing up everything he said. Already put Obama to shame. And Obama has been President for 8 years. Trump doesnt start till Jan.20th

And what do Hillary's fans believe??? It sure ain't the truth, at least not coming from her....to paraphrase (and alter) a fellow Ats'er, maybe its just because they were under sniper fire...

Obvious blue in big cities. I want to know why there is such a drastic difference in large cites vs rural and small cities or towns. Do you think it is because in the city there is much more intermingling among people of different ethnicity, background, etc. and in rural areas they mostly don't associate with larger diversity of people?

Not all Trump supporters are racist, clearly, but all white supremacists are Trump supporters.

Trump won over Blue Collar America with the false promise of bring jobs back while Clinton assumed she already had their vote and didn't bother to pander to them.

There is ample time to be proven wrong here. His presidency...isn't over yet. It hasn't even started.

Actually Trump mastered the art of the hyperbolic statement with great success, Hillary tried and failed miserably.
It actually backfired in political capital every time she tried it.
Trump beat her so bad in this area of the election, it made the liberal pundits lose their minds, especially on election night.

Looks great if you're an urban smurf living in a metropolis...there are still quite a few red dots there, bet if you group them up, red still wins....
maybe he'll be a good president, he could be a bad president or even just an OK president, I just hope he's not the worst president ever...he might even be nuts, or a crass, over the top whack a Doo, but at least he isn't a known, and proven, pathological pantsuited liar....so, I guess we have that going for us as a country!!!!
