A band I wanted to push forward from these creative geniuses to the east is called Wakaggi Band 和楽器バンド
(translated: japanese musical instruments band)
They gained some big traction when the japanese governmental culture pushing project "Cool Japan"
picked them up and pushed them forward..good choice (although no babymetal..sup japan!)
Anyhow, if they interest you more, their wiki can be found Here
The most powerful sound, in my personal opinion, is their song, Senbonzakura (not sure why its Zakura when Sakura is the translation for cherry
blossom..whatever. guess they went with pronounciation instead of actual romaji)
I love the lead up to around 2:45 when they just start wailing on their instruments.
As far as visually stunning, Well, for me, the song Strong Fate is very powerful
...its like watching some ancient japanese ritual being played out.
And some guy commits seppuku.
Soo damn beautiful and stuning to watch. All their videos are hard to choose as to which is the "best". each have such a different flare, but all are
amazing to watch.
Well done Japan.
Oh, and one last one:
Here there be dragons:
(seriously though, this woman, Yuko Suzuhana, is just georgous with an amazing voice and can work a fan like a ninja)
Anyhow, Do yourself a favor and watch/listen to these videos (preferrably in HD on a big screen for maximum awesomeness). Any highly cultured fusion
stuff you like? (anyone who posts Gangnam Style k-pop nonsense gets a free punch to the junk!)

thanks for that man.
that # was awesome.
i am a HUGE fan of japanese traditional music. i have tons of it.
this is like traditional fusion.
love it
edit:
i see you already mentioned the fusion aspect of it
awesome
Yeah. I mean, regular traditional japanese music is fine...if a bit ancient and dull, but the fusion of east meets west is almost always a smash hit.
the West has the beats, the east has the flavor.
Love Japanese culture but I was suprised to find myself getting pretty moved by strong fate. Can't understand a word she's saying but still felt a
pang of sadness when the guy started bracing to commit seppuku.
Also found watching the lead singer to be mesmorising. She must have had geisha training considering how smooth and flowing her movements were.
Beautiful to watch
