TIME- Donald Trump Person of the Year 2016

Ya know people.

Once upon a TIME in America for the pun.

Time named Adolf Hitler 'man of the year'.

They sang praises for him.

Fast forward to the 21st century and we see the political hackery about Trump.

Hey Time ?

Give it up.

Your 'magazine' sucks.

I find this a very striking photo - who took it ?
To me, at any rate, it feels very House of Cardsy

Season 2, end of episode 1
The pres' turns, fixes the spectaor for a heartbeat, then says something like
"You thought i forgot about you, didn't you ? I'm back and i mean business !'

Words to that effect.

It could be an image of our time

When Time named Hitler, it wasn't admiration. It was observing his impact. They weren't kind in the article about it....and they didn't like Hitler.

But it would be hard to ignore the immense impact the man had on the world in the 30's and 40's.

If Hillary had won, she would be Time's Person of the Year?

That guy named FDR had a bigger impact.

Between looting fort knox.

Gold, and silver confiscation and outlawed private possession of it until Ford made it legal again in' 74.

The New Deal.

Social security.

National Firearms Act of 1934

Rounding up the Japanese and threw them in to fema camps of their day.

And that was just the tip of the iceberg.

The only real difference between FDR and Hitler was FDR didn't have gas chambers.

Just pointing out "Hitler got that award too".

It means nothing but I prefer a Trump supporter to mention it first.

Yep, 1938, boy was I pissed then!

Time Magazine is not long for this world. I suppose there are still people who buy it in airports to read while they're waiting for a flight. But print media is fading away.

Your last paragraph should of ended with..And he has a pretty bad comb over

Check the timelines.

I love FDR. I may even vote for him right now. I think a new deal democrat approach may be needed to ensure a contiguous highway system in 10 years.

I think he was the right man at the right time. In the 80's he'd have been lynched. Seeing the support for Bernie, the public is ripe for the picking.

Anyway, I think that 1938 was big for FDR (FLSA, for example). But Time was referencing what Hitler was doing on a global scale. The point being: their article was not Hitler worship in any form. It seemed to be a condemnation of Hitler and Mussolini.

It's an M. There's hidden subliminal messages in everything from here to the outer depths of space itself.

Mm yes, i've seen advertisements online for that but don't watch telly much. As for who took the photo, i can only guess the people at Time Magazine?

Creepy, that last line sounded like a dream i had once.

Yes the photo came out quite explanatory, to me anyways, with how they did it.

Donald Trump has a stern intense glance on his face, he's not happy with the current and previous administrations running the Country, and he intends to fix it. One hand is placed over the other as though to state he means business but, he's also doing so with Dignity.

It's a kind of Rorschach test that photo - he looks to me like someone that might eat a baby
