Personally I wish they would remove stars all together. It only encourages stupid memes, regurgitated sound bytes and the always creative herp-a-derp Hitlery and Drumpf comments. Quality stuff.

Yesterday I actually saw a member say that they only read posts with the most stars because they contain the most important information. HA!
