they are missing the point. these sites with their extremist content are no greater than a pot stirrer on the playground trying to start trouble. it is the community that makes them look credible and spreads their influence. getting rid of some websites is not going to give us the backbone we need to face down haters. that comes from a place outside the realm of digital media. it starts with average everyday joe schmoes and mary janes standing together and sharing love instead of fear. these digital symptoms belong to a very organic problem that will persist if we resort to addressing it electronically instead of in our hearts, homes, and on the streets.

Maybe if we can do the same to them and remove msm networks from your local TV provider to boycott their content and only post from third party social media .

Then they lose money and maybe they'll lose viewers and have stop their channel at the end.

That is the common consensus.

I happened upon this statement in a larger article which was addressing the confab of media giants of the web...

Twitter’s blog post from yesterday (Dec 7th, '16) gives us the underpublicized announcement.

“Facebook, Microsoft, Twitter, and YouTube are coming together to help curb the spread of terrorist content online. There is no place for content that promotes terrorism on our hosted consumer services. When alerted, we take swift action against this kind of content in accordance with our respective policies.”

journal-neo.org...

which bring me once again to my point...

terror or anarchy content online Must Include Radical -Jihadist Muslims
along with stripping the cloak of honorable 'Religion' from radical Jihad

ONLY when these fab-4 gatekeepers who control internet content admit the Truth about the false narrative about ;the religion-of-peace' will I support and align myself with MiGYT (Microsoft-google-youtube-twitter)
the acronym is pronounced Midget

midget = is a term for a person of unusually short stature that is widely considered pejorative.
While not a medical term, it has been applied to persons of unusually short stature,

~which aptly describes these fab-4 creations of DARPA/CIA/et al

We might just go back to talking to each other in person....

We already talk to people in person.

The internet has made it possible to talk to people from all over the world, instantaneously. Yes, the telephone was able to do that, too, but the internet helped us to create new cultures--and to spread information on levels never before seen.

Getting rid of all of that would set us back. It is not a positive thing.

It's not a coincidence that this is all coming down in the aftermath of Trump's victory.

The major media platforms weren't able to control the narrative or sway public opinion, and are now in full panic mode and forced to take totalitarian measures.

This is absolutely the case.

The unregulated internet got Trump elected. We collectively ignored the mainstream media, and they hate it. They want so desprately to be our only window into the world, and the internet does not make that possible for them. They cannot control our perception without that being the case.

Whether PizzaGate is real or fake, in either case, it is going to be used to censor the internet.

People are leaving Reddit for Voat, Twitter for Gab, etc... Maybe Facebook will MySpace itself....

There is an excellent competitor to Facebook centered around privacy, no ads, and freedom called MeWe.

Youtube needs a freedom-centric competitor, too.

ATS is a forum for Conspiracy theory. A conspiracy theorist is someone who questions the statements of known liars. You don't need a conspiracy when most everyone is educated to believe the same thing and consider themselves knowledgeable......the forum should remain true to its original intent.

Maybe the April fools joke ATS did where the government shut the site down will come true.

In a sense, it is already becoming true - look at the mods closing all the Pizzagate threads.. pretty close imo.

Once the government starts to ban entire URL's, erasing them from the registry through ICANN, its all over.
