Millions of people have read about a crazy conspiracy theory called "Pizzagate." An untold number of them actually believe it. One person apparently took matters into his own hands and showed up to the pizza place that the conspiracy theorists say is at the center of the web with guns.

You don't need to apologize to me. Your time would be better spent learning to discern fact from fiction.

I found a better news source.

ALIEN ENDORSES TRUMP

Oh wait, wrong headline... one sec.

Brian Williams Joins Weekly World News

Weird, that's not it either.

I tried, seems only the fake news outlets are running this story, is it even true? Darn media, now I can't even decide for myself what's real and what's fake?

How will I live?

You do know, we have brains, we use them from time to time to help us handle events and experiences in this reality. Sometimes people tell us things that are not true and we need to see them for what they are on our own, this is called seeing through the BS. It's a skill we must all use from time to time.

WATCH and LISTEN to your news, DON'T BE A PUPPET and BLINDLY FOLLOW it.

For all we know, the fbi, or cia, or csis, or other international agencies, could already be investigating this, and the public would never know.

And then the news media would have to be branding this as "fake" news, so the the actual alleged pedophiles wouldn't know that they were being investigated.

Hopefully if there is an ongoing investigation, it hasn't been screwed up.

From source:

the armed confrontation showed the offline, real-life consequences of online lies.

While conspiracy theories are nothing new, Internet echo chambers are making the deceptions more powerful and more pernicious. The world wide web provides easy access to the truth -- but makes it equally easy to wall off the facts and soak up fictions instead

It's a shame people can be so easily sucked into such blatant on-line lies.

Is this a different echo chamber than the one that had Hillary crushing Trump in a landslide, and gave Trump no possible way to win enough electoral votes to even be considered a legitimate candidate?

Or is there an approved echo chamber and an unapproved one? I can't keep the echo chambers straight. Which one are we supposed to believe?

What do you have to show as evidence that the OP is incorrect in what they're saying???

Anyone can just come here and call someone a liar and dismiss what they have to say without any justification for it. Nothing special about that. Also nothing convincing about it either BTW. I can deny reality all day long but that still doesn't make me correct. Same applies here.

You need to support why you think the OP is incorrect or you don't have sh*t. So either put something forth to back up your opposition to theirs or say nothing. It's really that simple. Nobody cares about your unsupported opinions. We all have those and they're all equally worthless. Only information with some form of verification and credibility have any weight. Everything else is just a fart in the wind.

Don't be a fart in the wind.

let me nudge you in the right direction. If the headline is "something mean about Trump", it's approved news, if it's anything at all "pro Trump" it's fake news. I hope that helps.

The video states that 28 year old Edgar Madison Welch from North Carolina entered a pizza restaurant in upper Northwest Washington with a rifle in his hands. He fired one shot, but no one was injured.

When he was interviewed by police, he said he was there to investigate the internet rumor called 'pizzagate'.

He was charged with assault with a deadly weapon.

Do we know anything else about Edgar Madison's background? What line of work is he in? What's his family background? Does he have a history of mental instability? A lot of people have heard of Pizzagate and he's the only one so far to respond like this (that I know of). What predisposed him to do it?

I don't know much about him. I'm just hoping he's not a member here. Anyway the news is only a blip about it, not seemingly a big deal. I'm glad nobody was hurt. Probably an isolated incident.

If I learn more about him, I'll post it.
