ISLAMIC State fighters crucified a Christian in a harrowing five-hour ordeal telling him “if you love Jesus, you will die like Jesus”.

Christians who fled their homes when ISIS took control of large swathes of Iraq have revealed the sickening torture those who were left behind were forced to endure.

The jihadis gave Christians four options - leave, convert to Islam, pay a religious tax or die.

Now one Christian, named Esam, has revealed how his brother-in-law was crucified following five hours of torture. Speaking to charity, ADF International, he said: “My wife’s brother was crucified by Daesh.

“He was crucified and tortured in front of his wife and children, who were forced to watch. They told him that if he loved Jesus that much, he would die like Jesus.”

ISIS then cut his brother-in-law’s stomach open and shot him before leaving him to die on a cross.

Five hours? They throw gay men off the building and they are dead in seconds, same with drowning and fire .... it is all over briefly but cmon five hours? I would say that "trumps" in torture and hatred as to who is most hated amongst these Islamist extremist .... people like me.

So I would like to inform these extremist I have purchased several weapons over the years and my family and I are trained experts in various handheld weapons and look forward to meeting you and your friends. Don't forget your knives.....

Except Jesus said...

He said to arm and protect yourself. Turn the other cheek when someone slaps you but he didn't say just lay there and die when they're coming to kill you. Big difference.

He did also say that those who die (are killed) in his name...

Where did Jesus say arm and protect yourself

Where did Jesus say don't just lay there and die

we could reason, argue and then fight this issue out and in the end we won't move from our positions I suspect
I believe Jesusvwas a pacifist

I also believe you don't understand what Christ meant when he and His disciples took two swords to the Olive Garden, it's an interesting reason.

Basically, in the New Testament I find nothing that gives me confirmation my life is more valuable than others
If you understand something else, then if you can justify it through love, I am sure that's is enough, we are all different.

Jesus didn't say to arm yourselves in my King James, but then it's hard to say what version some zealots are reading these days. I can only think of one time when Jesus lost his temper, and that was after the temple was turned into a marketplace, and he whipped some folk. Alas, he repents for his behavior. Jesus was a pacifist...something the new Christians forget about when dealing with Muslim extremists.

The forum is a Christian propaganda joke. Logical folk know that most Islamic people aren't beheading gay tossing monsters, but that don't sell their wares of hate and fear. The fight will never stop until religion is wiped from the face of the Earth...hopefully sooner than later. Grow up kids, we got bigger probs than fighting over which God has the bigger dick.

Just more proof that ISIS doesn't follow Islam. The Prophet Jesus/Issa is one of the 4 most revered Messengers of Islam, along with the Prophets Musa/Moses, Dawood/David, and Muhammad because those 4 were given God's Holy Books. The Qur'an even labels him the Messiah/Christ multiple times (like in 3:45, 4:157, 4:171, 5:17, 5:72, and 5:75 among others). And 1 of the 114 Surahs in the Qur'an is even named for his mother Mariam/Miriam (Surah 19).

Oh well. If people still think ISIS follows Islam even though the vast majority of their victims are other Muslims, then there's nothing I can say that will change this. They're nothing more than another violent paramilitary cartel that uses religion as a pretext, just like the Mexican drug cartels that use Christianity as a pretext while committing equally horrific atrocities to further their businesses (like Mexico's Knights Templar).

Christianity started 2,000 years ago and NOT until the late 15th/16th century was a bible allowed inside a home LEGALLY. So where did the masses get their information? From those who perverted the message.... BUT yet you make it sound as if Christians knew all along what they were doing back in the day killing and murdering the Muslims and clearly they were being led by the hypocrites.... who had an agenda.... similar to your agenda.

Your attempts to smear Christianity is weak and not effective.... Thank God.

and yet there are christians in this thread calling to kill all muslims. What is the dif between muslims killing christians or christians killing muslims? All i see are crazy people using their imaginary friends as justification to kill each other. You want to act like christianity is so much better than islam? I see no difference.

The difference is the Christian's are acting totally against there religion and it's law's, the very word's of Jesus himself where Isis are acting in accord with what they believe they have been told to do.

One only needs to look...

1. Luke 22:35-36 Then Jesus asked them, “When I sent you out to preach the Good News and you did not have money, a traveler’s bag, or an extra pair of sandals, did you need anything?” “No,” they replied. “But now,” he said, “take your money and a traveler’s bag. And if you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one!

2. Exodus 22:2-3 “If a thief is caught in the act of breaking into a house and is struck and killed in the process, the person who killed the thief is not guilty of murder. But if it happens in daylight, the one who killed the thief is guilty of murder. “A thief who is caught must pay in full for everything he stole. If he cannot pay, he must be sold as a slave to pay for his theft.

3. Luke 22:38 And they were saying to him, ‘Our Lord, behold, here are two swords.’ He said to them, ‘They are enough.’

4. Luke 11:21 “When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own house, his possessions are undisturbed.

5. Psalm 18:34 He trains my hands for battle; he strengthens my arm to draw a bronze bow.

6. Psalm 144:1 A psalm of David. Praise the LORD, who is my rock. He trains my hands for war and gives my fingers skill for battle.

7. 2 Samuel 22:35 He trains my hands for war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.

These passages relate to one NOT taking revenge. It has nothing to do with not protecting yourself.

8. Matthew 5:38-39 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.’ But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also.

9. Romans 12:19 Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say, “I will take revenge; I will pay them back,” says the LORD.

10. Leviticus 19:18 “‘Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD.

11. Proverbs 24:29 And don’t say, “Now I can pay them back for what they’ve done to me! I’ll get even with them!”

12. 1 Thessalonians 5:15 See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone.

13. 1 Peter 2:23 When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly.

The examples I give above come from YOUR King James.

You are very confused

You have mixed Judaism with Christianity, it's not even a basic understanding of the bible

The New Testament quotes wer just simply out of context, quote mined a verse here and there to justify your beliefs
Having said that, there is nothing I could teach you as you have lost the capacity to learn
Simply and completely no understanding of what you have said

Waste a few words, go read the contexts of the New Testament verses you quoted, or don't
Do as thou want

This needs to end. Everyone who touched anything to do with ISIS needs to die.

Food for thought OP. 5 hours seems like alot, but people are sometimes tortured for months.

Look here two medals, that's a distinction
You can look like a dictator

Here is a tip ducky

Old Testament, a book of history and laws for the Jewish religion

New Testament, a book of history and explanation of Gods Grace to Christians and the world

Ok

Old for Jews
New for Christians, two separate books, two separate faiths

Old Testament for Jews, New Testament for Christians, so those Old Testament verses you have taken are not relevant to christians, they are Jewish laws, Not Christian laws
Do you know the difference, did you know that.

Everything in your opening statement and then in your response showed anyone who cares to read what you have written that you just don't know what you are talking about

Then your second statement goes on to show that you can't learn simple things

Look here are a few more medals

They must have some meaning

Whatever you say there, buddy. I'll let you pretend to know me all ya want. Is that fair?

btw - a bit of irony here:

Why must we assume that? In science assumptions are frowned upon and often found to be mistaken.

Whatever I say, what a wonderful philosophy you have....

Bazinga

Look some pretty medals
for your collection

Hey
Lets go through it once again
Old Testament for Jews, New Testament for Christians, so those Old Testament verses you have taken are not relevant to christians, they are Jewish laws, Not Christian laws

Can you repeat that with me, in your head is fine

Its true duckstar, I dont know you, probably never will, hold no ill will towards you, just pointing out the bloody obvious that seems to have escaped you your whole life

Old Testament for Jews, New Testament for Christians, so those Old Testament verses you have taken are not relevant to christians, they are Jewish laws, Not Christian laws

Quotes from the New Testament

See Duckster, this is the verse you left out in your post, its between Luke 22-36 and Luke 22- 38, its called Luke 22 - 37.I have it from the International childrens bible

37 The Scripture says, ‘He was treated like a criminal.’[c] This scripture must have its full meaning. It was written about me, and it is happening now.”

So, the reason is self explanatory, to fulfill the prophecy

Luke 22:38 And they were saying to him, ‘Our Lord, behold, here are two swords.’ He said to them, ‘They are enough.’

Isnt that interesting, two swords, Jesus intends to overthrow Rome and the Jewish religion with two swords, uhm NO.

Should I go on duckster

Quotes from the Old Testament

Try not to confuse them, two separate books, two different books

So all this to explain
that there are two faiths in the one book, Judaism with the LAW, Christianity without the law.
Old Testament for Jews, New Testament for Christians, so those Old Testament verses you have taken are not relevant to christians, they are Jewish laws, Not Christian laws

If you want I can help explain it in more detail, I am not going anywhere

Padawan

You cant throw out the books of the OT. Yeshi didnt!!

Padawan, Yeshi follows and endorses the Mosaic Law.

The Mosaic Law are in the following manuscripts:
* Leviticus.
* Deuteronomy.
* Levites.

The other manuscripts of the OT Yeshi references are:

* Deuteronomy.
* Isaiah.
* Exodus.
* Numbers.
* Hosea.
* Micah.
* Genesis.
* Jeremiah.
* Psalm.
* Daniel.
* Zechariah.

But you reject these manuscripts right?

Unlike Yeshi!

What a good little Christian you are youngling.
