I like "Total Video Converter Lite - Totally Free to Convert Any Format.app"

I use iVI (not expensive) to convert video and XLD (free) to convert audio on my mac. For PC, Xrecode II can't be beat for converting audio and Handbrake for video. They are free to use.

VLC can convert from a lot of formats to a lot of formats and has the advantage of being free and you don't need another program to watch the result. Obviously the amount of options doesn't seem as many as some dedicated stuff but for just quickly being able to do something its not bad.

Hi there! My posts usually get ignored or they just disappear. So, let's try again.

I've used Super, by eright software for years.
It'll convert audio to video and vice-versa, with or without pictures.

www.erightsoft.com...
The install software bit is right at the bottom of they page. You'll have to go hunting for it.

Its got so many options to go from one file format to another. Not as easy to use as others, but you really do have total control over what gets converted into what.

As a rule of thumb, you don't want the bit-rate to be reduced when you convert it (that's when it loses the quality).

Hope it helps.
Mark
