Just one silly question...WHY in the world, if you're semi worried how your pregnancy is going, why haven't you contacted your doctor??! Ya might wanna do that.... My three pregnancies were without problems, except with the last one...I craved dry dog crunchies!! Yoiks! He turned out normal anyway!

Then you need to make sure your doctor keeps a close eye on your "slight anemia" because that could develop into a much more serious problem in no time at all.

When your body is starving for a nutrient or mineral or whatever, it's only going to get worse as the baby develops and grows.

So be vigilant with your doctor.

If necessary, get a second opinion.

Everything is normal.
My wife went through exactly the same thing with our two kids, Lurch and Gorgon.

I had minor morning sickness for the first 3 months (ironically it was during the evening, right at dinner time), and occasional migraines where I saw black splotches in front of my eyes that made hard to focus on anything - this would last for about 20 minutes then go away. I used to have one ankle that would swell up sometimes, when I had been on my feet a little too long.

I didn't have too much in the way of mood swings, but I had a lot of the usual physical discomfort from being as big as a house in the final couple of months. I absolutely could not lay on my back, as I felt like I was literally being smothered.

All in all, it wasn't too bad of a pregnancy, for an old 41-year-old. Holding that new baby girl in my arms for the first time made it all worth it!!

a reply to: Rubicon3nose bleeding? I talked to him about my slight anemia and he said it's nothing to worry about if I continue to take my prenatal vitamins/minerals.

Nose bleeding can just be a sign of pregnancy, then my slight anemia. I had a prenatal check up yesterday and asked him everything that was concerning me. He reinsured me that it wasn't a problem as it was common pregnancy symptoms. My baby girls heart is still strong, and two weeks before that. I had a ultrasound that came back normal.

If I do have more concerns I tend to go to BabyCenter community to talk with other experience mothers. Sadly, I can't get my next prenatal check up until Jan. 12 because of the holidays.

I could ask him in my next prenatal to get blood work done but he probably disapprove as he thinks there shouldn't be anything wrong because I am 25 and still young.

Been thinking of trying to get more iron foods into my diet. I heard beef, spinach, kale have good sources of iron.

I used to eat those as a kid.

The face of the dog was epic.

Good old days, before nutrition was invented.

Not spinach. It does have alot of iron, but it also have chemicals which inhibit your body absorption of iron, which basically mean you don't get much iron in the end.

Unless you have abdominal pain, contractions, or vaginal bleeding, I'd say you're having a great pregnancy.
Better than the two my ex had anyways...
Good luck and have fun.

I hated being pregnant. It changed my eyes so much that I could never wear contacts again-had terrible back problems-my 10 and a half pound first child, a son-kicked so hard he broke my rib (that was fun for the last month) then had an emergency c-sec.

I did not have very good doctors; although they were touted as the best.

Watch the vitamins-10 1/2 lbs was too big for me to deliver-plus I had other serious issues my doctor should have been aware of.
Be vigilant-if you don't feel "right" let your dr know; don't wait.

But both my children are so precious to me-I'd do it again. Not now-I am old.

Just keep in mind most of your symptoms are normal apart from the nose bleeds, babies are leeches. They will syphon whatever they need from you. Take some liquid Vitamins and avoid acid forming foods when possible. You don't have to eat for two, that's a myth.

Sounds normal to me, well normal to me because that's how I felt. People talk about pregnancy as this beautiful experience. Not me! I hated being pregnant. I was miserable and sick every day. I couldn't walk or move due to back and neck problems from a head on collision months before I became pregnant. I couldn't sleep and I had restless leg syndrome that almost drove me insane! The only thing that worked for me was sitting in the tub. I lived in my bathtub in my bedroom. I could see my tv and i set my computer and food tray up. It was a nice temp and it was the only thing that calmed my aches and pains.

My son is now 3 1/2 and of course I wouldn't trade him for the world but I don't look fondly on being pregnant nor the delivery which was traumatic. I was glad when it was all over! I have friends who love being pregnant but they don't get sick or have any pain. They're basically not human lol

Congrats on the little one to be!!!
