When I was young my life was beautifully flowing, euphoric, like I was high above the clouds.
I had heard of this thing called “winter” it was on the cusp of everyone’s tongue, but we daren’t speak about it. Throughout the year hot
turned to warm and warm turned to cold as the inevitability of winter began to creep over the land.
Slowly one by one I could see my friends succumb to this horror, their skin crisping and solidifying to the point of stone, letting out one last wail
before perishing to this evil.
Before I had the chance to act I too began to change. Never before had I been propelled into fear, as if I was cast member in the scariest Christmas
carol ever! Watching as my skin turned pearly white, as it imbedded itself into my soul. I was frozen.
My life was no longer beautifully flowing, but horrifically falling through the sky...
