Do you think Japan would have won WW2 if it had allied China instead of attacking?

Your approach seems to be more like a game player rather than looking closely at the non-material dynamics of the situation. Basically, China never would have allied with Japan.

If Japan had not attacked China, there need have been no Pacific war to be won or lost.
The friction between Japan and the U.S. was only there in the first place because of what was happening in China.

a reply to: RAY1990Just a small aside for you. After Dunkirk The French did side with the Axis. The Vichy government and it's infrastructure worked closely with the Germans till France was liberated. Hence Northern France was trashed during the liberation but Southern France was barely touched. As Southern France was from where the Vichy government ruled from.

No I do not think so, one also has to realize that they would never have allied with China, as they considered China to not be in any way shape or form their equals. This is amply demonstrated with the way they treated the populace. I'd also note that the Chinese empire of that period was while large, was also technologically behind the rest of the world, and while they could supply a lot of soldiers, they would not have been of much use in a "modern" war.

Majority of the post sucks. Japan got its naval tech from the West. Specifically US. The only reason Japan invaded China was corrupt military and the old shogun law. People need to stop thinking about the scenario where the corrupt military was still in power. But, imagine Japanese were as nice to Chinese and willingly to support China against the Communists from Soviet Union.

German was in for the support of China until the Invasion of Soviet Union. Japan helps China on the East and you have Germany pushing the West. Heck I'm pretty sure if China is able to open the silk road for Germany to cross they would've given China Tiger tanks.

Majority of the naval conflict is by US Naval.

Don't brush over the fact that there was intense and complex naval conflict outside of the Pacific. The British defeated the Italian and German navies and were embroiled in the Battle of the Atlantic. Also the British were involved in the Pacific in a growing way, something the US history books tend to (er) forget about. The British and Commonwealth were also constantly engaged against the Japanese in East Asia on the land turning withdrawal into running success.

The Axis lost not because they did not side with China, but because they were out-built by the US economy and doctrinal superiority.

Also don't forget that the Soviets and the Nazi's cooperating in invading countries in Eastern Europe, so had Germany not turned on Russia they may have been the most useful ally. Russia, with secure west may have themselves fancied a good pop at China.

Haha quit BSing yourself. US loses where very high on the western front compare to Germans. 1 Tiger took out many Sherman tanks. Calculate those loses. Even Brits were at lost before Us joined. Axis lost because they ran out of manpower. Majority died fighting against Soviet Russia.
