A loud noise could be heard,
footsteps coming down the hall.
The room full of people sat staring,
at a changing shape on their wall.
It was as if the wall itself,
was beginning to push in
it heaved and it buckled,
then the wall did caved in.
Stood there was the figure,
of a Man wearing a robe.
He held in His outreached hand,
a figure of Our world globe.
It spun slowly around,
in the palm of his hand.
"This represents Your World.
Represents all of Your lands.
"But look here",
He said as the globe He crushed in His hand,
"That is all it would take,
to be rid of This wretched land."
"I come to give You a message."
Said He with a smirk on His lips.
"You must all change Your ways!"
Said he with a snip.
"For coming now is,
that time of the Year,
when You should all be outside,
spreading good will and Cheer."
"For it's now the night before Christmas",
and all through the place,
not a smile was seen,
on not anyone's face.
The stranger snapped His finger,
everyone then froze, stood stock still.
The Stranger then broke all the gifts,
and the animals He did kill.
When They awakened The feelings one got,
when they walked through that room,
was of impending disaster,
one of sorrow and gloom.
"Why the long faces?",
He asked looking all about the house.
"You've destroyed all the gifts and animals,
Yes even the mouse!"
That was obviously true,
as per the blood, bone chips and hair.
Scattered all about the place,
covering carpets, couches and chairs.
"What in the Hell?!,
Was all I could ask,
"Why would You do such a thing?,
Why have You done such this task?"
"He is the ghost of all Christmas's,
That will never come again here."
Said one old Man in the corner,
as He sipped on His Beer.
"There is too much evil in the world."
He simply said while looking around.
"It permeates every household,
is all over this town."
"Why then have all,
the animals been killed?"
I asked the robed stranger,
trying to shake off the chill.
"Animals are Your source of enjoyment.
They give Love unconditionally."
He said with a wry grin,
as His eyes settled upon Me.
"It is all Your fault." He said softly,
boring His eyes into mine.
"All was once well with the world.
Never again will there be those good times."
"My fault?!"I asked dumfounded,
while looking at everyone's tears.
"I have nothing but goodwill towards mankind.
I spread good tidings, and good cheer!"
"But You do that under,
the guise that is not good."
Disrobe Yourself for all to see,
That You are really Evil, and not good."
"I have nothing to hide."
I said as I pulled open My shirt.
From between My ribs fell,
forth slime, mud and dirt.
I was taken aback ,
as I loooked at the floor.
More filth poured from within Me,
flowed forth more and more..
"The Stranger then said",
I'm here to remind those in this room.
You must change for the better,
or Your Souls will live forever in torment and Doom."
"It is not too late for You yet,
so I come here to plant the seed.
Go forth and help less fortunates,
Help everyone in need."
"I know it is not My nature for,
Me to help You in this way.
But I have been given the duty,
to help better Your lives and give sway."
A reply then came from,
a small timid Boy,
"Why have You done this to Me?
Broken all of My toys?"
"Ahh even though You are Young,
You begin to show signs,
of thinking of Yourself, not helping others,
in their grief stricken times."
"Just look at that man,
who's insides are now on the floor."
The Stranger said as,
He made way for the door.
"He does favors for those,
wanting something in return.
That is not how it should be,
in the end He'll get His return."
"Take a meal to someone hungry,
put some clothes on someone's back."
"Give water to a thirsty one,
take them a small snack."
He said as He went through the doorway,
taking one last long breath.
"Change You all for the better,
for I am known as Death..."
