Ok..so my story became a monster..but it is finished and posted. It's too long..so I put it as inspired by SSC2016... and am just linking it in here for anyone who'd care to read..

Hi blend!

I'm pretty sure that would still qualify as a Short Story (I've seen longer!!)
...and technically it does still have SCC016 in the title....
I think it should be included in the contest!

Isn't it amazing how time just drifts away from us at this time of year?

Believe it or not... There are already less than 10 days remaining to get your December short story contest entries in!

The standard so far has been incredible and I've really enjoyed the entries that I've managed to read so far.
