Ladybeard went on to do different things. the girls are now trying to go out on their own.
Cute as a button, but they got packaged as a gimmick, so now they are gonna need to either reinvent themselves completely (unlike them still seemingly hanging onto the format) or just..end I suppose.

They remain obscenely cute though.

They did well separating from the hairy drag dude...He had the guttural thing going on, but his image was beyond distracting.

babymetal is their own genre. although I hate to call it kawaii metal, it is what it is. they aren't trying to be metal while singing it.
And if being japanesey is the most important aspect, then wakaggi band wins there hands down (although they arguably more hard folk rock than metal)

OK.. I digress. I had to try...
I feel there are some bands that do not fit into a "genre".
Even PRIMUS had their own genre on iTunes because they did not fit in to anything rational in the eyes of the ones who decided it.
I feel many bands fall into the genre-less category, they are their own type.

Aldious is good but I am suspicious. It is TOO polished. If those girls can smash this on stage live then I am fully impressed.

wakaggi band..I am fully impressed. The use of traditional sounds/instruments is fully refreshing.

I think its always good to embrace your weird whatever it may be.

I mean, for christ sakes, we are discussing japanese things..a certain love for things a bit outside of the ordinary is basically required.

Japanese music scene is simply fascinating

ETA. Because they are heavy Nationalists, any movement that gets support, gets the whole nation's support. To a ridiculous level. But they are strong from this.
