Oops. Jill Stein forgot to mention to her donors that she cannot file a direct request for a recount in Pennsylvania.

Stein would have to present a case showing voter fraud took place. Trump won Pennsylvania by 70 thousand votes.
Stein would have to prove that fraud was “probable.”

The Inquisitr reported, via Free Republic:

"Per Pennsylvania regulations, there is only one way remaining for Jill Stein to get a recount in Pennsylvania and it is a complicated process. BillyPenn reports that Stein would have to file for a court appeal and present a “prima facie case” showing that voter fraud took place. While prima facie has a lower burden of proof threshold than “beyond reasonable doubt,” it is still significant. Stein would have to prove in court that fraud was “probable.” This is going to be very difficult given that even the computer specialists recommending the recount say there is no proof of hacking or fraud.

In fact, the Medium reports that Clinton’s own legal team headed by Marc Elias has noted that Clinton’s team “had not uncovered any actionable evidence of hacking or outside attempts to alter the voting technology.” The Obama administration echoed that by stating that the government did not observe any increased level of malicious cyber-activity aimed at disrupting our electoral process on election day. According to Newsmax, Obama is standing behind the results which indicate that Trump won the election, saying the election was “free and fair from a cybersecurity perspective.”

Oops? Hah. You telling me her legal team didn't know this before filing for a recount? No. no. Gotta be something else going on. Like a scam. Or a notorious plot to have the state's electoral votes not be counted when they can't complete and certify the recount on time.

They just milked nearly 7 million dollars out of desperate liberals over this, fully knowing it was going to be impossible. But worse, the point of this article is that they have to prove there is some kind of credible case for voter fraud before it will even get that far.

Just a little reassurance though for any Trumpers who may be a little nervous about this recount situation. It just ain't gonna happen. Michigan already published their recount anyway, so I hear- with a Trump win by 10,000 votes or so. With this problem in PA, that only leaves Wisconsin.

Beware though of scams coming on the republican side, seeking donations and trainable bodies to assist and oversee recounts.

Not so fast. Pittsburgh and Philadelphia have been hotbeds of Democrat voter fraud for YEARS. Trust me on this, I know, I have lived in Pittsburgh or very near it my entire life. I see no reason these friendly districts couldnt manufacture some "abnormalities", or try to help in this recount request. There were areas in Philly that have over 100% turnout on a regular basis.......that is Ed Rendell's turf.....guy is crooked as the day is long.

I don't know why everybody is getting so bent out of shape about this.

It will come to nothing.

Did anyone actually believe their would be a recount just because she wanted one?
Maybe the people counting the votes the first time want to tell her where to stick it.

I sincerely hope it comes to nothing. I saw on another post earlier that a lawyer from the Hillary camp said they would be joining in the recount in Wisconsin. That kind of made me stand up and take notice. That said, I too feel that it is unlikely that Stein will be granted a recount in all 3 states....she may get 2 of the 3, but not all 3.

But my point is recount or no recount it won't change anything. Resistance is futile, as they say. It's done.

People think that is soo easy to recount votes once they are validated by the state, even more so since what happen back in the Florida recount and the way the nation was put on hold during that time, many states changed laws to avoid a repeat.

All this recount hoax have Hillary behind it, Jill stein is a proxy, and she knows that like Hillary she will never be president, so now she is all for the money.

And just think of all the things that could have been done with that 7 million dollars that could benefit the people.

Hopefully this puts the nail in Stein's coffin. The woman should be ashamed.

Well I hear you. And curiously, got breaking news out of PA where the PA state police just raided a democratic grassroots canvasser, looking for evidence of election fraud. I'd say you better read this, and see if it could possibly line up with what you are saying:

Pennsylvania state police have raided a Delaware County political field office seeking evidence of possible voter-registration fraud, according to court records.

In a warrant filed late last week in County Court, investigators said they were seeking documents, financial information, and lists of employees at the Norwood office of FieldWorks LLC, a national organization that often does street work for Democrats, records show.

The warrant did not specify the nature of the probe, but said agents also were looking for "templates . . . utilized to construct fraudulent voter registration forms" and "completed voter registration forms containing same or similar identifying information of individuals on multiple forms."

A Delaware County judge on Friday afternoon signed the search warrant, but it was not known when it was executed. The warrant application was approved by the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office. Jeff Johnson, a spokesman for the Attorney General's Office, declined to comment.

So if they find something, then I guess then that Stein has her evidence? Or not. Question is, would a judge consider that enough? The plot thickens, for sure.

Wouldn't it be amazing if the recount only proves the Democrats cheated and widens the amount of votes?

VERY possible outcome.

That is interesting. Delaware county is directly west of Philly, but have never heard it mentioned in terms of voter fraud in the past. I will definitely keep an eye on this and see what I can find out and report back, Thanks!

The first hurdle (sworn affidavit), that she'll have to get past is from Obama's own administration! Jill Stein is currently a gold plated, three legged horse in this race to undermine the election and will need some hard evidence to move forward with her plan. Considering that all three states would have to be overturned in order for Hillary to steal the election, this is great news!

The Obama administration said on Friday that despite Russian attempts to undermine the presidential election, it has concluded that the results “accurately reflect the will of the American people.”

U.S. Statement on Reliability of Election Results

The Kremlin probably expected that publicity surrounding the disclosures that followed the Russian Government-directed compromises of e-mails from U.S. persons and institutions, including from U.S. political organizations, would raise questions about the integrity of the election process that could have undermined the legitimacy of the President-elect. Nevertheless, we stand behind our election results, which accurately reflect the will of the American people.

The Federal government did not observe any increased level of malicious cyber activity aimed at disrupting our electoral process on election day. As we have noted before, we remained confident in the overall integrity of electoral infrastructure, a confidence that was borne out on election day. As a result, we believe our elections were free and fair from a cybersecurity perspective.

That said, since we do not know if the Russians had planned any malicious cyber activity for election day, we don’t know if they were deterred from further activity by the various warnings the U.S. government conveyed.

On a serious note, would a case tied up in court have any effect on whether Obama stays in office past his expiration date?

I'm wondering if that's not exactly Stein's purpose.... She may be trying to prove that votes were stolen from third-party voters as well, specifically that Green votes were switched to Dem votes. I have not actually seen anywhere that Stein has said that she questions Trump's win (tho I haven't seen her deny it either!). It seems that is simply assumed; and while it may or may not be the effective result, it does not necessarily have to be her motivation.

I find this very odd:

The Inquisitr reported, via Free Republic:

So a blog is reporting that another blog reported via a news aggregate site on the laws of a state... but cannot/does not refer to the actual statutes or any legal source.

That's real official.

If that is true, which I have heard as much too, then I think this recount is over as far as getting Clinton in there. Because people are saying that Michigan has done a recount, and gave it to Trump. They are to certify the vote count in the next couple of days I believe.

The End?

Right. Besides the deadline, this is why they went to Wisconsin first. This is a poor attempt at a gotcha moment. If they show voter fraud in Wisconsin then Pennsylvania will be recounted. Pretty simple for the unemotional. I still don't understand why Stein is doing this. Her and her donors must really have a distrust of Trump. Their choice. I also don't know why people on ATS are so bothered by this. It's interesting to observe these processes carry out. If only the masses would use this as a learning moment instead of acting like primates we'd be a lot better off.

Of course it's possible. Why the thumbs up though? You want half of America to fail?

When are you angry nerds going to realize that democrats and republicans need each other?

As alluded to on the OP, this is not about recounting, or overturning the results of the election.

This is about the Green Party milking the Demo-hysteria/angst about Hillary's crushing loss on November 8th. Stein and her cohorts knew that there would be enough desperate Libs out there, willing to clutch at any straw, that they could raise at least a million bucks.

As it turned out a million was easy...so the Greens kept increasing their "estimates" of what they need...$3 million, $5 million, $7 million. And Stein is laughing all the way to the bank.

The procedural aspects of this, the likelihoods of getting a recount in any of the States is beside the point. The Green Party phished people into forking over millions...the Green leaders all get salaries for the next 3 years now, until they start raising money again for 2020.

What was it that PT Barnum said?
