Oh gosh, that would be wonderful...

Let's see, I don't care for eggs unless buried inside a waffle or something so, how about a waffle?

Some sort of cinnamon waffle thingy...

Grilled strawberries?

*No wonder I have to pay folks to cook for me! I sound a little picky...

If I may be so bold as to a request?

My girlfriends dad lives 40 minutes west of Nola so we go down there frequently. Have you ever been to chef rons gumbo stop in Metairie?

Because I would love to get down on some of his chicken Jefferson or bronzed drum fish. Effing delish!

So....... can you hook me up?

I will be in New Orleans on Wednesday. My wife and I are treating our friends to a vacation and I had the concierge book us a bunch of the more interesting places, August, Cochon and Commander's. We may slum it a bit and head over to Willie Mae's Fried Chicken since that s*** is off the hook. I will ask about the one you mentioned since I have not heard of it.

Peche is great too. Owned by the same guys that owns Cochon. Cochon butcher is also good for some tasty sandwiches. They make a great albeit small muffuletta.

Chef rons is run by a former Massachusetts chef turned Nola fanatic. Just great flavors at his joint. It is in Metairie though. It's a close drive to toups meatery.

I need to check those out too.

I am going to stuff my gob down there. The only place, to me, that rivals NYC as a food capital is New Orleans.

Here is a pic of the muffuletta at Cochon butcher. It was pretty damn tasty.

Goddamn, that looks good.

I have been craving a visit to Cochon for the past year, their food is obscene.

Take some pics while you're down there and we can start a restaurant thread of worthy food pics!

The food in Nola is so good I felt it needed a double post.

I hear you.

I'll grab some pics. I may even take a few at the bars we visit as well.

Southern Indian is very very good. Coconut chutney is one of the best things I've had in my life.

Asian food is good as well. You haven't had "Thai" food till you've eaten miniature live shrimp with som tam or ka pow moo with egg for breakfast.

I really like Pakistani food. I realize Pakistani food is not Indian food but there are some similarities (am I wrong?).

Can you help me understand the difference then in defining Indian regional cuisine?

Northern, southern, coastal, midlands? India is a huge country with a beautiful history.

Or am I asking too much to the wrong person.......

Thanx

I'd placeThai somewhere in the top 5, along with Italian, Mexican, Chinese and Indian.
