Oh grow up. No one is condoning paedophilia. It's all the witch hunters that say we do because we don't agree with their HIGHLY stretched speculations.

As for your fake planet? Wrong thread.

Seems like "witch hunt" is becoming synonymous with "fake news". How charming.

A month ago I'd have felt equally as appalled by the video, I'd be making exactly the same points as I have been here. I also never mentioned anything about Pizzagate here since this is about children being sexualised through music and television.

Anyway, there's really no point trying to convince you that this kind of video is downright wrong - you obviously support it and nothing's going to budge you from your stance. I'll go expend my energy where it's worthwhile.

How is it about "children being sexualised through music and television" when she's an adult?

If she was dressed as a carrot in a garden dancing provocatively, would it be sexualising vegetables? I don't think so.

Give it a rest. A lot of people, myself included, have very serious concerns right now about what has rightly been described as the normalisation of children being sexualised. It's a big problem and we have to tackle it, and I for one will continue to do that as I have been for quite some time now.

Not sure if you read the Original Post but the topic is about the Original Poster thinking that the video he linked contains pedophilia, not the 'normalisation of children being sexualised' (sic) and since there were no children in the video I think your overly-concerned sensibilities should be directed elsewhere.

...it's a woman acting in a provocative manner in a crib and that is the wrong image to send.

Who suddenly made you the morality police? Why do you think people are unable to raise their children without your interference or input?

Given how many videos are being outed at the moment for being inappropriate, people are well within their rights to raise concerns.

Is that you Mrs. Gore?

She's portraying a child, enough said.

a reply to: AugustusMasonicus

Okay, so let me put this another way. If a piece of work, be it music or film, is portraying children in a sexualised manner then it is tantamount to paedophilia. Granted, this particular video does not contain images of children, but the woman is acting promiscuously in a crib and thus portraying children as a sex object. That is immoral. It may not in and of itself be paedophilia, but it is certainly promoting it.

This isn't about being "morality police", this is about speaking out against the music and film industry for either targeting children in unethical ways or promoting the sexualisation of children.

So what? She can be portraying a rubber duck and it would still mean she's a grown woman and not a child. That means there's no "children being sexualised".

So you are pretty much agreeing with us that the Original Poster conflated his thread since there is no pedophilia in the video he linked.

Additionally, how does an adult dressed as a child promote pedophilia? Let's go back to the stripper dressed as a school girl analogy, is she promoting pedophilia when she shakes her ass for you in the champagne room?

If you do not want your children watching something, like this video, why is it someone else's responsibility to monitor what they watch? Are you not capable of parenting on your own?

Oh, and 'targeting the music industry' is just what Tipper and her sweet little PMRC did. Your sensibilities do not concern me.

I don't think that's a fair way of looking at it. I'm not saying you don't have a point, what I am saying is that if the post was made because of the blatant innuendo then I'm happy to back that up with my own take on the matter. If your main argument is about whether or not the video is actual paedophilia then we have a misunderstanding, but either way you're seemingly denying that the video is utterly disgusting and that's what I'm specifically pointing out.

Now if you'd excuse me I have a new thread to make...

That is not my argument, that is the Original Poster's argument, that the video contains pedophilia images. It obviously does not. The only ones misunderstanding the topic are the Pizzagate witch hunt proponents who seem to think of pedophilia when they watch music videos.

I do not find it 'utterly disgusting' I found it boring and incidentally, your disgust is irrelevant to the topic.

Wonderful, send us a link.

How about in 1984 when Madonna was writhing around in a gondola wearing tight spandex and informing us all that she felt like she had been touched for the very first time?

Or maybe 1956 when Elvis was appalling gyrating his hips like a Negro in a display of vulgarity unseen at that time?

There is always someone, somewhere with delicate sensibilities who enjoys getting offended. We need to get all these precious little snowflakes a happy, warm safe space to protect them from all things sexual.

What the heck did I just read? I mean this thread.
Nobody seems to be 'right' here. But there is a lot of assumption and not knowing about definitions and misunderstandings going on.

OP:
Paedos like kids, not grown up ladies dancing provocatively like an adult. Even if they are dressed like a child, a paedo isn't interested in adult women, not even those with nappies on. In the same way a gay man wouldn't really be attracted to a woman with a mustache, or if you want, a heterosexual man wouldn't suddenly be attracted to a guy in a dress. Why? Because it's not what turns them on.
So no, it isn't in any way, shape or form paedophilic.

What is it then?

has been said before but it could be a fetish. Maybe the singer fancies wearing children's clothes. Maybe it will attract those that would like to do the same.

I think what you really meant is that you don't want children sexualised. You don't want kids to be able to wear stockings and suspenders and parents to be able to buy poles for their kids to dance around. I totally agree with that, but that isn't what is happening here, because NO CHILD is present. You could say that dressing like a child will give people ideas that children might be 'up for it', but TBH that is very far fetched and makes no sense [as there is no child present].
Have a go at pageants or clothes manufacturers or make up companies that cater for children in an unchildlike way.

As for the others who call Pizzagate a witch hunt and and everyone who is concerned about kids a moron: Have you read the news about the Football coaches molesting kids in the last few days? Go find it. For many many years this went on and nobody took it seriously and waved it off probably as 'don't be silly'.
However someone persisted and hence it gets uncovered.

Evidence you are looking for only ever comes out if anyone actually bothers to investigate. Therefore we are in this 'circumstantial' trap. It will only ever be circumstantial unless the police actually goes round and confiscates their PCs and have a good look around. Heck if they are annoyed by all this, why don't they hand over their computers and show them [probably after a nice hard drive clean up]?

You who are opposed to the OP did this is a high and mighty and very dislikeable manner. Get off your high horses you don't know if you are right and the way you talked to OP was not warranted as you fully well know he/she has mixed up sexualisation of children, with paedophilia.

Why are people so upset about stupid music videos and pedophilia?

Pedophilia is a world wide problem involving millions and millions of people.

Millions.

All over the world.

But what is pedophilia? An attraction to having sex with underage minors.

But what is an underage minor?

Depends on where you live and how you are brought up.

What is the solution?

Only one solution... a one world government where the same moral rules apply to everyone equally.

Millions of people like having sex with what some people, due to their upbringing, consider to be underage people and a perversion.

You want to wipe out pedophilia? Start with Japan and go from there.

Any country that allows used school girl panties to be sold in vending machines is just plain creepy.

"Japan lags behind other countries when it comes to cracking down on sexualized images of children. While possession of child pornography is a serious felony in most parts of the developed world, Japan didn’t criminalize the practice until June this year."

The pizzagate thing is nothing but speculation. There's not a single shred of evidence to even look at. Just look at this thread and you see how much of a witch hunt it is.

And no,I don't condone paedophilia and I'm sick of people, who think this pizzagate is some special victory, saying we do.

There is nothing complimentary about this matter, nothing whatsoever.

And yes, we need to protect our children from sexual predation.

How does the video in the Original Post constitute sexual predation? What do they need to be protected from in this video?
