Political bickering and other such nonsense on a day of Thanksgiving? Really?

Give it a break for a few hours, it will make you feel good. Have some fun talking about UFO's or Bigfoot or any of the other interesting topics around this place.

For some members, starting threads on topics with a political slant is the best part of Thanksgiving.

Emotions are high at the moment and emotions very rarely take an holiday.

I think that's a wonderful idea!

There's a lot of political craziness non stop it seems like so it's a good thing to remind people about that.

Ok, I'm feeling better now as well. Thanks for having me folks and for keeping this site alive and kicking, I kinda love ATS the rough way. But I love it with all my heart, have a great time!

For some people it's either fight your relatives, a possible punch up with uncle Brent's estranged kid, or come to ATS to fight with strangers.

On the other hand, I need intervention of a different kind, I am still picking at food lying here on the sofa....God someone stop me.

I have a new bottle of Rum for the eggnog in the cupboard and bottle of Gentleman Jack for sipping later on.

Most of all, I have a four day weekend and it's hard to not be in a great mood.

Hey , why not a "Kumbaya" Day ? One day set aside for just that reason here on ATS.

Even just for a few hours. Lower everyone's BP for a time..I had mine greatly lowered by a good belly-shake laugh on another thread. A member replied to me with a question on Putin invading Russia. Yes , I knew what he meant , but I just HAD to roll with it...
