Years have past and I don't forget his face. A glowering solid built man in a job I'm sure he didn't want. Dark in complexion yet surrounded in
light. His past worn on his sleeve, his inner thoughts hidden away from sight.
Civil service he would study. During the long days of his tenure he would work himself toward a new career, only when prying eyes were present.
I was sent to the domain upon which he was to reside. The spot for the trouble makers, outcasts and misaligned.
Time would pass and his demeanor grew soft. Away with the textbook and out with the theory. Through my sleepy eyes, I managed a smile. Not out
of joy but of ridicule. Little did I know, this man was about to wake me and destroy the narrative.
At such an impressionable age, not many could exert the right kind of sway. Ideologies formed upon falsehoods reigned. Somehow he spoke to me in
terms of corruption, conspiracy and cover ups. For this and to him, I am forever grateful.
Thank you Mr. H
