I posted this in another post but it applies here as well. Let's get real here for a minute. The only reason they are calling for this is because her popular vote lead has hit 2million plus.

It sounds great but..... her lead in California alone is 3.7 million votes.

California does not decide the election.
This is retarded.

This is Stein, not Clinton. But for the Clinton argument, I agree.

Why not?

Why be so selective about it when we could just re-do everything?

Oh, did I say re-do? I meant recount, really.

Of course not. Why would it? It's the blue launchpad of the US. However if someone is going to go through and count votes based upon the integrity of the machines and authenticity of the voters, it should be done everywhere.

This is a pipedream anyhow.

You want to recount everything when 3 states are contested? It would last a year.

I don't want to recount anything. DT won the electorate and HRC has conceded. Done, over.

If anyone wants to contest than yes, do it all or do it not.

I'd say this is for Clinton. I'd imagine Stein has been promised something in return. This way the Democrats don't look like sore loser's more than they do now and I'd imagine their usual money sources will make sure that Stein gets the money. I'm not buying the Green Party want's their own votes recounted for Stein's sake.

Hey let's blow 2.5mil on an already conceded and lost race. Sounds like our government. Maybe this is one of many reasons you lost. Why not take this time to self reflect instead of counting votes.

before everybody gets all happy about a recount, here is a tidbit posted in the first thread about this by Xcathdra

this is what everybody is leaving out. the guy that wrote the report says the are anomalies are due to poll data being wrong. and the other guy had his numbers wrong.

Reached by email, Halderman pointed us to a statement he'd written at Medium. It's a lengthy examination of how vote-tallying systems have been rigged or manipulated in the past, but the most important line (for our purposes) is this one:

Were this year’s deviations from pre-election polls the results of a cyberattack? Probably not. I believe the most likely explanation is that the polls were systematically wrong, rather than that the election was hacked.

Halderman's concern is less about 2016 than it is broadly about the risk to our electoral systems. As it was in August, when he was featured in a Politico article warning of the same risks. (Halderman also notes that Sherman got the numbers wrong.)

Exactly. Have Stein recount them and then ... Oh, look! Hillary should have won ...

Well isn't it fortunate that she wasn't contesting things because now she really looks like the wronged victim doesn't she? Not only then has she won the popular vote, but she really should have won the EC, too, and if Stein hadn't contested those results ... well, we would never have known!

And the Democrats are shocked! Just shocked! But Trump should step down. It's the only good thing to do.

And don't be surprised if they end up "finding" enough ballots too. You watch. They did it for Franken.

The thing is is that this is going to be pretty much like a standard lawsuit. Stein and her lawyers are not only going to have to show compelling evidence that something happened with the vote but they are also going to have to show that they have standing to file it in the first place. And they have to convince judges in three different states to do so. What standing does she have? People file lawsuits all the time in the name of Law and Order and have them refused. There's no guarantee that Stein we'll even get this past the show cause portion. It's a silly frivolous Act

Yes, but leftists aren't very good at absorbing things like that. For them, it was Russian hacking because they were told it was Russian hacking. That's all that matters; that and stories about how Hillary was winning in a landslide right up until she actually lost.

Folks still can't believe trump won. The media and Hillary and her supporters were just soooooo sure she would win. she did not win. Some of her own party were against her. Doesn't matter what I wanted. She lost. Time to get on down the road. Let's see what trump can and can't do. I for one am not worried.

Ha! Why am I not surprised that paper ballots were used in strong Democrat areas!

funny, you say others whine, but the losers are the only ones butt hurt into riots and eliminating an integral part of our election process....because they lost.....and are not happy with that.

So they whine and bitch.

Also lets recount CA.

ALL STATES

That is your opinion. I see people protesting on one side and people rabidly defending Trump like he is the Messiah returned over any slight. True or not.

They will not recount all states.

I understand. She won the popular vote. She lost the pledged electoral votes. Electoral votes have not even happened yet, but I doubt enough will be 'faithless' who are Trump electors.

You are trying to imply it is all over.

The fact is, there are normal processes, like recounts, that happen. He hasn't even taken office yet. Let the processes happen.

Well good luck with that to them. They are going to have to do this and a shorter amount of time then Gore had. If I remember correctly part of Bush's argument was that the Constitution called for a specific day for those electoral votes to be cast. So say early next week they file. Trump's lawyers wait for a couple of days and then file an appeal. Stein's lawyers then have to file an appeal with the Supreme Court. What end up happening is that Stein's lawyers either win or lose but the whole electoral process is cast into disarray for a candidate that can even assume to get even 3% of the vote. Is this woman really ready to discredit her whole party for posterity just for a couple of million dollars from the Clinton campaign?

It's not for money. I don't even think it is to try to overturn the vote. It is the way the process works.

I could state how this works simply and clearly, multiple times. But the idiocracy will often answer with, ''He won she lost, get lost' or 'Waste of time'. Or any number of things that are irrelevant.

Welcome to the world of Trump.

Some of you have no idea what you bought. Some of you actually stated you didn't know what you bought, but the closed, unknown box looked better. Like The Price is Right. God luck with that.
