Perhaps it's time to change the chant from lock her up to lock them up. People voted for change again but I doubt they will get it. Power is taken not given and all of the elite are connected including Trump. The whole anti-establishment thing was a farce.

Ding ding ding...we have a winner. Glad I'm not the only one that remembers this thread

What's funny is she only said those things because she didn't think he had a snowball's chance in hell.

I wonder how many ATSers read that thread and decided to vote for Trump?

This is all Buzzy's fault!!!

Hence why my daughter felt eerily unsafe driving across Kansas west-to-east on Sunday. Hency why I will feel the same driving east-to-west when next I visit her.

Why would anyone feel unsafe? I don't understand the fear.

I'm guessing they think Mid-westerners can smell the fear of a weak-minded Hillary supporter as they drive cross-country.

It's probably the smell of piss that gives the scared Hillary supporter away. Just say 'Trump' within shouting distance and most piss themselves - they can't help it.

Why would I whine about the OP, I'm not American. I'm just sick and tired of ATS being a political slagging match & comments like yours are just fueling it.
Why not just discuss the OP without having to bring Hilary into it, it has no relevance to the OP. It's just petty BS.

Don't forget that Trump is smarter than most. If he tells everyone he's going to prosecute Clinton, Obama will pardon her.

You can only hope there is no information agency that sees your post and gives away his well-laid plans to Obama or Clinton or Obama just may destroy them with a letter pardon while still president.

Oh no you may have just ruined Trumps plans.

Why comment at all then? If you're going to use "I'm not American" as an excuse to ignore some political commentary, why not use it to ignore all of it?

Ah, because it's so much more constructive to complain about one kind of political comment but not the other, and use non-American-ness as your excuse for doing so.

*eyeroll*

I notice your only contribution to the thread is to whine about my comment. And only one comment, not any of the others I've made. Terrific addition, very relevant indeed.

Why bring Hillary into it? Well, as I pointed out in another of my comments that you're ignoring: why create a thread complaining about Trump not doing things he said he would do before he's even taken office?

I don't know what his intent was all along. Has he backed down now or was he always going to back down? I have no idea and neither do you.

I did know. Because the laws didn't allow him to follow through and I had explained it to those who were less intelligent on here.

He's been consistently smarter than everyone else in the room, though.

No, he was simply able to con the dumb ones into believing his BS.

I will say that I agree he said he was going to appoint a special prosecutor and now is not going to.

You will see that sort of thing will happen a lot more with his presidency.

No, you didn't know what his intent was, and given your previous predictions didn't really work out too well, you'll excuse me if I dismiss your claim of magical insight into Trump's mind

Let's wait and see what plays out. I would have thought you'd have learned your lesson by now in terms of predicting things relating to Trump.

Presidents never do most of what they say, and even if want to, the system tends to run itself regardless of the president. So usually you see the president tweak a few things how they like. Obama didnt do hardly anything he promised. The promises either didnt happen or got heavily modified. This is why I told my liberal friends that the world wasnt ending.

Same boots on the ground assessment as mine:

The problem is rural America doesn’t understand itself and will NEVER listen to anyone outside their bubble.

It doesn’t matter how “understanding” you are, how well you listen, what language you use

…if you are viewed as an outsider, your views are automatically discounted.

I’ve had hundreds of discussions with rural white Americans and whenever I present them any information that contradicts their entrenched beliefs,

no matter how sound,
how unquestionable,
how obvious,

they WILL NOT even entertain the possibility it might be true. Their refusal is a result of the nature of their fundamentalist belief system and the fact [that]......

Wow, so much generalization. And even without a masters degree, I know that "everyone" isn't ________. But we are all pink on the inside. I wonder when we can talk about that?

Wait for it:

.. I’m the enemy because I'm an educated liberal.

I weep for this nation.

Not at all. You are the enemy because you chose to be.

There is nothing magical.

They are called laws and constitutional rights. Those things that can not be broken simply because the trumperor wants to.

I am realizing that you have been a true believer. I had a lot more respect for you when I thought you could see through his BS and simply played along.

I haven't read the rest of the thread, your comment was one of the first in the thread and it just bugged me, pointless comment.
I don't see why you need to get all defensive any time someone says anything bad about your guy. A softening in his stance on some things is not a bad thing so I don't get why you need to get all defensive and bring Hilary into it.

It's the whole divide and conquer thing, it's one of the oldest conspiracies in the world but you see it being played out here daily. You would think a site with people discussing conspiracy theories, they would see that they're being played by the very system they want to fix.
You will never get any real work done in your country if most of the time you spend bickering over whose party is the biggest dad in the playground.

This site over the last 2 years has been unbearable for a some of us that are non U.S residents and I personally thought that since DT got elected that the whole left-right thing would simmer down, since the vast majority here are DT supporters.
I've been here for many elections & it's just tiresome.
We get it, you don't like the other side.
But your man won, so why not just deal with the fact that since your man got elected he will get attacks against him and deal with the facts at hand without bringing Hilary into every thread.
She is irrelevant, let her escape into obscurity.
I'm not just directing this at you, it's just that yours is the one that tipped the balance for me & caused me to comment.

Your respect is neither sought or required.
I am a true believer in completely overhauling the system and stamping out any remnants of progressive ideology. It remains to be seen how far Trump and his administration goes, but the journey will be fun to watch and I am hopeful that the next few years will turn the corner away from the car crash we were heading for.

"My man?"

Clearly you've missed the comments I've posted about how Trump is most assuredly not "my man." Nor did I vote for him.

You read entirely too much in to pointing out nothing more than the OP's gleeful commentary on Trump saying things to get votes isn't any different than Clinton saying things to get votes, or any different than any other person seeking office saying things to get votes.

If pointing that out triggered you, then I don't know what to tell you, and if you can't be arsed to read anything else in the thread then I'm really at a loss as to what your entire point in posting is.

Then why not just point out that every other elected president has lied to gain office, why be specific to her?
It's the same in every thread, there's going to be 1 comment mentioning her within the 1st few comments, I would much rather she was out of the public consciousness because she annoys me & she should be no longer relevant.

Trump won, it's not going to be perfect but nitpicking at every small decision is going to get tiresome fast, so yes the OP has as much to blame as any but my point still stands. He won and when he gets inaugurated he will be the President of the U.S, deal with it folks and work on uniting to make your country a better place.

Apologies for assuming you were a Trump supporter, it was the nature of your comment that made me think that.

we're relieved he's tweaked a few things - trust me!!!!!!

the question is how do you all feel?

this mulit-billionaire who's not doing the things he promised but actually doing things the way WE'D like him to.

personally, if the situation were reversed i'd feel suckered! sorry.

trump on the other hand is going got be rich and powerful, just like he'd always hoped....

biggest con job ever.

Speaking of the old gal, where has she been?

Is she still in country?

Seems like a media blackout on her and her cartel.

Who cares what the self proclaimed truth gatekeeper media says.

The winning candidate did a savvy end run around us and used it to go straight to the people.

www.theguardian.com...

Yeah, I'll wait and actually see what Trump DOES, AFTER he is sworn into office.

Of course there's going to be a comment mentioning her. Why? Well the entire thread is about the guy she just ran an election against so....kinda stands to reason that if we're talking about the election, both major contenders in the election are going to get talked about, aren't they?

You're absolutely right: everybody that runs an election says things that they may not wind up doing. Which is what I pointed out: that Hillary more than likely said things just to get votes. Yet somehow because it's Hillary, you've elected to get offended by it? Whatever man.

"Good morning everybody, what have we decided to be offended by today?" comes to mind.

Nobody made you read the thread. Nobody made you click reply. Nobody made you post comment after comment after comment. So all your angst and irritation is utterly and completely self-inflicted. No sympathy, and no #s given that you've chosen to be upset about it.

I'm getting a kick out of the whole "farmers are stupid rubes" meme.

Anyone who makes this assertion is a complete bonehead and incredibly clueless.
