Terror recruitment on the rise in Europe!

Terror recruitment is on the rise in Europe and other parts of the world. France, Germany, the Netherlands and other countries have all made arrests in recent days.

In France, Tuesday, security agents detained seven people suspected of helping funnel Islamic militants into Iraq. In Mainz, Germany, this weekend, police arrested an alleged al-Qaida operative who is also accused of recruiting for Iraq. He is alleged to be a key al-Qaida recruiter who was living in an apartment building on a quiet street. Also arrested: a Palestinian allegedly headed to fight in Iraq.

There seems to be a never ending influx of people willing to blow themselves up or others, in the name of Allah, God, or the lastest cause, or even the drop of a hat. How any administration, country, or group hopes to stop them is beyond me.These zealots seem to live, think and believe on a different plane, until we figure out what makes them tick, terrorism will never end.

Despite stronger anti-terror laws, experts say it isn't always easy to take down recruiting cells or to stop heated religious rhetoric that incites young men. European officials say they may not be able to do much more with inflammatory imams than deport them.

Well then, they should get busy and start deporting them immediately.

Situations like this are often the result of a lack of hope in the future. Europe's economic growth rate is flat, at best. But then, what else can be expected of socialism?

This is not new Europe has been fighting these terrorist groups for decades, is just that the "war on terror" now makes it center stage.

You can not win over people that make their cause a death wish.

And for the flat growth in Europe at least their euro is higher than the dollar, and now US is facing the problems of trade deficit.

The war on terror the war on tyranny the possibility of another war, and our economy is not looking good things are no peachy like some may thing.

I don't think anyone thinks things are peachy. The war on terror is for real. It is a very expensive undertaking both in human and monetary terms. But it must be fought. Just look at how desperate the terrorists are..they know that this is their last gasp and this is why they are throwing everything at us.

The situation in Iran should not be totally for us to bear. But it is a real threat.

What's all the chat about....plain and simple...get out of the countries and they will not bug us.

If the West want to medle in the buzz of other'z....then they must face the reality of the resistance of the people.

And from what I'm seeing and reading....the world is slowly changing th'r views of the US (thanx t'a Bush).

So no big surprise to see that the "recruitment" numbers are up and will continue to climb.

But its big business and money to be make by corporations like haliburton and the people behind the defense budget, the calisle group.

The are the ones benefiting from our tax payer money and the "war of the worlds"

If I'm not mistaken, The low dollar is enginered by the reserve to encourage exports and reduce the trade defecit. I might be incorrect on this, but it's the way I understand it to work. There are a lot of people who think that a low dollar is bad for the US economy, while in reality, the opposite is true in many respects. I'm more worried about the national defecit! But that's a whole other can of worms. With regard to the question at hand however, I don't think there is a short-term answer to stopping the terrorist activity. None of our options look very appatizing. I think it will have to get much worse before those "unappatizing" options start to look good in comparison. Probably the best thing we can do for long-term success is to focus on educating the youths. It's too late i think to convince any active terrorist to stop.

Not directly, but it feeds it, because it cannot exist without oppressive taxes to pay for all the cradle to grave entitlements. Those who are the most capable producers will escape, leaving those who are less efficient workers. The burden becomes heavier on them until they lose all hope. At this time they are ripe targets for recruitment by anyone who promises them a way out.

People US is fighting a fake war for the benefit of others, you don't get it, terror is not a country and not a territory it can never be win is an ideology, we will be bankrupt as a nation but the terror will still be on.

The US is having problems with the trade, is not working is becoming hard to sell.

US is not going to stop the change that is for sure coming when the Euro becomes the currency of choice.

We are not only losing the battler on the ideology of terror but we are losing our economy, and is starting to show on our state level and very soon on our homes, down the line is going to hit every one in our nation.

Terror is not new.
It only came to america, so now its a brand new war.......which is a lie.
Both sides of the political scale feed terror, the right feeds paranoia giveing the terrorists a cause, the left giveing the terrorists the power to do what they want if they have a cause.
Its a double edged sword and frankly you cant blame one over the other.
This isnt new, terror has been in europe for years, its on the rise since we seem to be a safe haven from the "war machine of the US".
Also we cant just deport every person of a specific religion since that is racisim and seperatism.
You americans should know the price of equal rights, race is just a part of you it doesnt make a terrorist or evil, that is decided by your character and your life.

Terrorists take many shapes and forms in modern times (from the KKK in the U.S. to the IRA in the U.K.), but the vast, vast majority of them are Islamic extremists.

Yes America's deficit is climbing but you have to take in the account that their dollar is dropping in value. As soon as the american dollars climbs their deficit will shrink. Not too mention the Euro is more valuable because it theoretically is backed by gold. The U.S. dollar is backed by faith, BUT the majority of Europes gold is kept on U.S. soil sooo if things ever went to hell in a hand basket, the U.S. could simply sieze other countries gold supplies for outstanding World Debt.
Remember Big Business / Corporations are really just people with jobs trying to earn a living who have families, children, dogs & cats! They aren't mindless evil entities. Jobs drive the economy. Paid employees spend their money on goods. Its a vicious cycle.
Now Europes problems of a stagnant ecomomy are due to the fact that they have a massive aging population retiring & draining their own resources. Europes birth rates are at an all time low. Italy now has 0.7 children per family. Too many old people draining a socialistic system without any new younger people to support them thru taxation thus leading to even higher taxes driving inflation even higher. To supplement the aging shrinking populations they increase immigration. Immigration leads to alternate views & class wars which leads to sour grapes type feelings (haves versus have nots). For example if a European family has one child, they have more wealth to spend on that child, where as an immigrant family has on average four children which cost more to raise thus causing a lower standard of living for these children. The immigrant children grow up jealous of the life of the European and this breeds hate. Poverty leads to crime & drug abuse which also leads to racisim (both ways not just Whites but all groups). Because the majority of immigration to Europe is from Muslim countries like Morroco & Algeria, it is easy to convert these guys into terrorists because they most likey grew up poor. But increasing the socialistic system is NOT the way to solve the problem.
Have more children, stop with the abortion cause your 28 & not ready yet.
Each family needs to have at least 2 children to maintain the population but in reality 3-4 children otherwise population will shrink and the senior citizens cost alot of money. Modern health care has extended the human life span greatly, someone has to pay.
