Hello Everyone!

Just wanted to take a little time out of the day to announce a new Forum Subject Matter Expert for our Short Stories Forum.

Gordi The Drummer

He's been a vital member of the forum for many moons now, helping facilitate contests, creating content and helping anybody who had any questions or concerns.

Gordi will now be officially helping out with anything in the Forum, from assisting in running contests and helping with the day to day if other mods like myself who help manage the forum aren't around.

Let's give him a big hand of applause, he certainly deserves it!

uhm... Thank you very much Tenth (and the team).

Here is a very short summary of how my weekend has been going;

I'd not been feeling great, just a bit snuffly - a wee cold.
So, my wife & kids headed off down to our holiday flat to leave me in blissful peace!
I had a Hot Toddy, early night and great sleep last night.
I had a long lie-in this morning (for the first time in ages!)
Made some home-made Caramel Shortcake (which turned out to be delicious!!),
Then settled down to watch Andy Murray (my fellow Scot) play in the ATP Tour finals Tennis (semi-final).
He Won in an incredible match, so I am celebrating with a couple of beers.
Meanwhile Tenth has PM'd me to let me know what he's been up to!!
and I've just now watched Scotland's Rugby Union team win a cracking good match against Argentina (who we are vying for World No.8 spot with!)

I've just popped into the Shed thread and saw that Tenth had posted a link to this wee thread, and I'm looking at the lovely well-wishes and kind words and I'm not ashamed to admit that my eyes have teared up a wee bit.

My heartfelt thanks to Tenth and the other Mods & staff and to everyone who's taken part in the Writers Contests and Short Story Forum over the last wee while.
There is a lot of hard work that goes on behind the scenes to make these things work and to keep them running smoothly.
And of course the writing talent on display here is 2nd to none IMHO.

I think I might have a wee dram tonight!
