Ironically, I just watched a Documentary about MH370 on Netflix like 2 days ago. Sorry I am not home to access Netflix , but I think it is “What
Happened To Flight 370.” I believe it is newish like within the last 6 months. Anyways, the film makers found evidence that the Captain's Daughter
told authorities within 24 hours that her father was mega depressed about his divorce and very upset about his politically active BF being sentenced
to prison.
Which, completely contradicts the story that the authorities gave of a Mr. Happy Well Adjusted Professional , whose family said there was no reason to
think he would harm himself or others.
Also, the film makers interviewed Sara Bajik (sp?) – Remember her? She was the partner of one of the few American’s on- board. From the
beginning, Sara said she and other family members didn’t buy what the Airline was selling. She said in her interview, that the Malaysian
Authorities and Airline told the family members during their initial first meeting (less than 24 hours after the disappearance) that the plane and all
aboard were lost – no further search would go on.
None of the family members could believe that Malaysian Airlines and the Authorities were closing the case. That is when Sara took to MSM and Social
Media trying to keep the pressure on the Airlines to conduct a proper investigation. Sara joined with other families and hired private investigators.
They had no faith in the Malaysian authorities to tell them the truth and still believe that to this day they have not been told the truth.
Sara and other surviving family members speculated that Malaysian Airlines knew that they were going to be in big financial trouble and wanted the
families to settle for a minimal dollar amount for a quick payout. Also, that the Airline knew that the amount would not be excepted if ongoing
investigations proved the various reasons for the crash (like the Captain’s mental health or lack thereof.)
Many of the families (including Sara) have not accepted settlements from Malaysia Airlines/Government. Litigation is ongoing. Sara continues to
investigate. Poor Lady.
I came away with the Captain did it.
The documentary also explores the Lithium Battery angle and the possible fire on- board that type cargo could have caused. As you said OP, so many
different ways this could have come down.
ETA: Was it the Ebola Scare that knocked MH370 off the front page? 24/7 one day and the next day poof! Gone.
