Any chance of creating a whole new, yet affiliated, website for politics?

I'm sorry. But this is not ATS anymore. Not to me anyway.

I know you want to talk about some election that took place. But there is so much about it on here it feels like ATS has lost its identity.

Would it possible For the owners to create a new platform for those interested in politics to debate elsewhere? So nutjobs like me can go back to talking about moon bases and secret weapons from aliens?

There is ONE main Alien Forum and there should be just one main Political Forum.

There actually used to be one. But in truth, nearly every conspiracy discussion has political implications. So it's not surprising the two sites were consolidated. I think that was the right move. Besides, what really makes ATS special is it's fantastic moderation. I have yet to see any other board replicate that as well as here.

In the end, if you want to see more conspiracy content, then produce those threads.

I click on ATS and all I see are 2 names.

It's boring and unvinviting for some. No offence.

I just want to click away. The when someone does post something of interest. Those who care only for politics dive in and shut everyone down.

Create a Political site so we can discuss conspiracies :-)

Apparently they want ATS to become a political site (judging from non-responses to questions regarding the ability to block/filter those types of posts).

We just went through the biggest political upset in US history with two of the most hated candidates in history. It will calm down. Already starting to cool down.

I agree. But I'm sure you will also agree that when posts like that are made, a lot of people not intested jump in to shut them down to get back to "The real world".

Then make a thread on the topic you like or click on the non-political forums you like. Seems pretty simple to me.

Not a bad idea actually. We used to have BTS (below top secret) so bring that back (it's way-cooler than "off-topic" and add a third pertaining to politics. I sure SO/Springer would think of a catchy title.

I believe it was called Above Politics, and yes, I seem to recall you had to sign in separately.
