Well, by saying that this is an unprecedented election, I was providing the answer you sought. So there is no precedent for Republicans protesting the election, just as there is no precedent for Democrats protesting an election.

Try going back to when Lincoln was first elected. Look what happened as a result too. But back then, we had people beating each other nearly to death in the well of the House.
