3 Million Hillary voters sign petition urging Electoral College members to change vote. Voters target Electoral College members to switch their Trump ballots, elect Clinton. Their major focus is trying to get members of the U.S. Electoral College to change their vote, arguing that Clinton should be the next president because 60.47 Americans voted for her, compared to 60 million for Trump.

However, members don’t officially cast their ballots until December 19, which has Trump opponents making long-shot efforts to reverse the outcome, including petition drives to get the electorates to switch their votes. The largest effort is through the website Change.org, which as of Saturday has about 3 million signatures, getting closer to its goal of 4.5 million. Petition organizers argue on the site that some states don’t require their electorates to vote for the presidential nominee who had the most votes in their state.

www.foxnews.com...

And the Hillary voters are college educated?

So.... what is the Hillary and Michelle Obama lie? When they go low we go high? What.... high on drugs? Because this is ridiculous.

Can anyone remember a time when this "crooked" trick every worked?

They should be careful. Unwillingness to accept reality has put many people in the nut house.

Or that Obama is cooperating with the Trump transition team. The blocks are already falling into place.

They are in denial... They are ignorant when it comes to the facts...

and Clinton herself is the reason for the loss.

Maybe they should sped less time demonizing Trump / Republicans / Trump supporters and take stock in the fact they are doing the very thing they accuse Trump / Republicans / Trump supporters of doing.

Ironic... and the left was in a huff about Trumps response to accepting the election results.

Not to mention not all election results are in. There are still a few million being processed in California and a few other states so their mantra of winning the popular vote, which confirms their ignorance, is not set in stone.

But their guy did not win... and mom always said everybody is a winner... its not fair..

Lot of people were saying we are an embarrassment to the world cause trump ran and won...

Got a news flash I just had dinner in a little mom and pop eatery in the netherlands... they cant figure out why hillary supporters are doing what they are... it does not make sense to them. They asked if the election was legal, we said yes... they asked why are they not working towards the next election... we answered no clue. Little old lady summed it up nicely I think... she said they are acting like spoiled brats and need a spanking.

ETA: so while they may have looked at us funny about trump... not they are looking at us funny because of DNC supporters.... way to once again take the spot light off the republicans.

Changing the vote will never happen. This is because in recent years, only Democrats have been bitten by the popular vote versus electoral vote. I'd bet my right AND left nut that as soon as a similar situation happens to Republicans, they will have the same reaction. In fact, Trump himself said the electoral college should be abolished, and if that had've happened, he would've lost. Woops! I'm sure his point of view is somewhat different now? It's all about perspective.

99% of these arguments are infuriating. If the reverse happened, Clinton won electoral votes and Trump popular vote, you'd be doing the SAME EXACT THING, down to the rioting. Many Trump supporters have publicly said.. the guns would come out. Obviously, just the "losers" are violent and threatening, while you ignore the fact that Trump supporters threatened the same thing, and worse!

I think what frustrates me most about this election cycle is how much people are burying their heads in the sand. Do you see that Trump is backtracking on his promises already. Are you blind? "I will repeal all of Obamacare, it's a disaster!" "Well, maybe I'll keep some". "I'll drain the swamp", which he's doing by appointing high level insiders and game players to his transition team.

This has gone way beyond Republicans and Democrats being "sheep". All of us have been lied to, but all you can do is continue to bash the other side. This is politics as usual behind the scenes, and it would've been no matter who won the election.

That's the thing, Trump isn't good. Neither is Clinton. They're both terrible. You're still trying to polish up a lying turd, but at the end of the day it still smells like crap.

Edit: I can grammar.

Has Hilary spoken publically about this? 3 million of her supporters are trying to change the election results via electoral college and it seems like she has been silent. Why?

Well, so a few data points here...

- What is being discussed here is the notion that these alleged petitions will somehow compel state "electors" to become what are known as "faithless" electors. What this means is, electors nominated by their party and their state will cast their actual ballots differently than they have "pledged" to do following the election.

- There have been only (21) "faithless" electors (total) since the 1896 elections. Prior to this there are some larger groups, but the circumstances surrounding those events are not even remotely applicable today (i.e. the death of a candidate, slavery, etc.). In most election cycles over this period this number represents on average a single elector/election.

- As it stands right now Trump has had 290 electors pledge to elect him vs. 228 electors for Clinton. This would mean nearly 42 electors would need to become faithless electors. (giving Clinton 270 and Trump 248).

- The electors in states where Clinton has the broadest support have already pledged for Clinton, so there's nothing there. Consequently, the 42 electors needed for a Clinton majority would need to come from states where Trump has the most support (and they've already pledged for Trump).

- Electors from states are traditionally fiercely loyal to the party. When they have defected in history they often select a 3rd party candidate, not the other party (only once has this happened, and even then it was only (1) elector).

- What about the "swing" states? Well, some faithless electors could turn up there, but certainly not (42). (see the reasoning above). Further, the popular vote in these states wasn't even close, so electors would not only alienate their party, but also the voters too by deviating. If this were the case, then you have a much more serious problem (I.e. potentially serious civil unrest and no-confidence in government as a whole, not just a party.)

- Lastly, a large scale defection from their respective parties today would represent a 'no-confidence' vote in the electoral system itself. This is something highly unlikely to be brought onto the electoral college by the electors themselves. Further, abolition of the electoral college would require a Constitutional Amendment, something which isn't going to happen anytime soon (think years, not months).

Bottom line...this is all likely much ado about nothing, and sour grapes by a bunch of malcontents. People have been citing the 2000 elections between Bush and Gore as an example. Remember all the "hanging chads"? In that election only (1) elector defected. Even there, she didn't really change her vote, but rather just abstained from voting at all. Further, there were was a far smaller margin of electoral votes in that election (271 vs. 266). There's virtually no way Clinton can pick up 42 defectors. Could someone else have beaten Trump in this manner? Possibly, but Clinton won't be able to pull it off.

I guess if you are dumb enough to believe Trump is literally the next Hitler, than you rationalize anything is justified to stop him.

But there are 2 major problems with this.

1. He is not the next Hitler

2. If they were successful with this, it would start a civil war - and their side would lose.

Correct. Hitler was a socialist (National Socialist German Workers' Party), and he killed mostly caucasians, historical fact.

AWwwww shucks...... A little satire my Daughter posted on FB.... But quite apt.

"BREAKING NEWS: Chicago Cubs are being forced to give up their World Series title.
Cleveland Indians fans have rioted across the country in protest of the 2016 World Series. Despite knowing the rules of the game prior to playing, they were unhappy they lost and demanded the outcome to be changed. They could be heard chanting #NotOurWorldSeriesChampion all across America.
Even though the Cubs won 4 games and the Indians only won 3, since both teams scored 27 total runs throughout all 7 games, they are being declared co-world champions.
When questioned, Commissioner Manfred stated, "We felt as though it was the right thing to do for the nation. What kind of example would Major League Baseball be setting if we expected the adults who play this game, and their fans, to gracefully accept defeat? Instead of creating a bigger divide between the Cubs and Indians, MLB is confident that the Cubs will gladly share their victory with the Indians."

I am confused why her supporters are not angry with Hillary Clinton. She was the one who came out publically and conceded the win to Trump. Now, if she had not done this, I could understand their hope, but alas, she basically tossed in the towel and has moved on. Did they not listen or even know about to her final speech?

If Trump doesn't pick any "high level insiders" half the country may literally cry he picked unqualified individuals. He needs some experience in his cabinet since he obviously lacks any. At least the picks by Trump will be Trump's and not picks determined by Goldman Sachs with the illusion of being Obama's.
