I, myself have been awakening for a few years or so. Early in my journey I discovered ATS. I thank you for opening my eyes to many things. Even though I don't post much, I read tons of information here. Some of it makes me think, some makes me laugh. I recently changed jobs, and found something very surprising to me. I was used to talking to people who had no idea about anything I informed them of. Most of them thought I was crazy, but some came around. After I started talking to my new coworkers, most of them were very aware of things from alternative media sources. I thought I was the only one, now I have new people to compare notes with. I realized that maybe what I had been doing for years might have actually made a difference. So, what I really would like to know is how many people, in your experience, do you think are actually starting to know and understand the information contained here? Are we making a difference?

More than at anytime before in my life, but in my view not nearly enough.

I don't think that's the right way to frame the question.

More importantly than what percentage is awaking, is how many people have gone through this before at a different time in history.

Example... Did a 31 year old in 1965 feel the same way about the world that I do now? Is it relative? Is it generational? Do these experiences repeat for each person.

We bitch about Miley Cyrus's tongue. Your parents parents bitched about Elvis Presleys hips.

If it's new, and we are all being awakened, as our current place in the zodiac is purported to suggest... then we must explore that.

But it very well could be a history repeats itself kind of thing, and we all just hit it at different points.

We Call them the " Living Dead " here . Their Interests do not go Beyond T.V. , Sports , Video Games , Gadget Technology , and Disembodied Social Media . Most of them have Lost the Ability to Think Outside of their Programmed Box , and just Mimic what they are Told without making an Effort to Confirm Anything . A Sad State of Present Human Affairs Indeed.....

What exactly are you referring to when you say "awakening" it has so many different things that are attached to it these days. Some just cooky people thinking they opened their third eye.

Are we simply referring to those who realized "Woah.. I can think about stuff?"

Times change.

In the 80's / 90's I was considered a liberal.

Now I am 'deplorable'.

I tend to look at things for a spiritual lens.

One in which our current incarnation is meant to experience the duality of evil/good. Currently we are witnessing the evil aspect of humanity ruling the world we call reality.

This evil is an opponent, a teacher there to make us stronger. I do believe that people are awakening en masse at record levels, for those of us who see beyond the illusion of benevolence, and understand the evil we face, all we can do is speak our truth.

This "sElection" cycle has woke up more people than the past 20 years of alternative media, granted before the internet it was in the form of books.

Unfortunately, there is no one I know who even hardly suspects anything talked about on ATS and they don't want to even hear about it. That's why I am here. That, and intelligent thought and sense of humor.

Yeah, for the most part I find that people don't wanna talk about stuff that challenges their perspective.

They'd rather be distracted by facebook, or memes, or something going on in the news, or sports. ect.

more and more people ask me questions and THEY make me do a double take..

It's spreading. Someone sent me some DVDs in 2005 about 9/11.. someone I hardly knew. I met them on a forum after building my first computer and using AOL disks for free internet.

And the best part is people who know things from the real world not from the internet, are feeling like they can talk to those of us who know from the internet..

Can mainstream media even break a million views anymore?

People like Joe Rogan break a million every podcast.

And yes us staying solid and never giving up the conversation I was on ATS in 2005.. it was a LOT less people back then and it was MORE above top secret in a way, but now it's so much better in how many people have a SURE understanding of what problems we face.

the trajectory is there. People like us know more than people like wolf blitzer.. we know so much and maybe some of us don't even realize the knowledge we have compared to a 5 minute spot interrupted once by a commercial?? Come on.. Joe makes his guests like Gary Johnson for instance talk for 3 hours no breaks. And no pre set questions either.

HOPE is alive.

I love it.

My older brother even woke up, and I have no idea when that happened, but he at 20 thought bunnies had two legs haha.. And now he speaks like an investigative reporter... BTW that's what we are here. We are investigative reporters. Not repeaters.

By awakening I mean the ability to realize we have been held in the dark. To allow our minds to gain new perspectives on what we thought was the truth. Be it politics, social interaction, alternative science, and even the third seeing eye. I agree with the zombie analogy to an extent, but I refuse to believe that they are unreachable. My father used to do hypnosis in his medical practice, and that state is a hypnotic state. They have been programmed. Good news is they can be deprogrammed. You are right that this site has changed over the years, but that, I think, was the point.
P.S. Never could get that damn 3rd eye to do anything, think mine is a lazy 3rd eye.

The creepy reality I woke up to is college kids needing therapy dogs, hot chocolate and play-doh...
The new generation 0%
Those that support them 0%
Everyone else 100%

Thinking about it more, an awakening requires knowledge of forbidden or hidden truths. Being capable of understanding is secondary to actual understanding. My favorite topic is governmental structures and how the US has completely destroyed it's founding principles. Unfortunately nobody wants to talk about it, because they don't see the current problems as a result of the destruction of principles. I also read about aliens, explore the spiritual, and ponder conspiracies. There are very few topics I don't try to read here. What I really am looking for is, how many of us are out there? Are we making a difference by trying to talk to others and bringing them in? Have I wasted 10 years trying to inform people who just don't want to know? Is it the right thing to do, to break them from perceived happiness, with the truth that will alter their life forever?

I agree with Mark Passio. It's not very good. Some people are slightly more aware yes, but still completely barking up the wrong tree in the wrong forest.

Awakening will have different meanings for different people. I'm sure the protesters marching for Hillary to be made President think they are the 'awakened' ones. While the Anti-Hillary crowd consider themselves as awakened and can see Soros pulling the strings behind the curtain.

I can cut through MSM propaganda and spin. I can think for myself. More often than not, my viewpoint is completely different from others around me. I sometimes find I am the only one to think about the Universe and my place in it in a spiritual sense and theoretical concepts of Multiverse and Simulated Earth instead of my friends whose thoughts are centred around day-to-day activities and raising their kids.

I think I know what you mean by awakening, that people here have access to more knowledge. More than they will find in the MSM and better than they will find on some of the crazy conspiracy sites.

I think it has gotten slightly better. People I know who listen to local right wing radio are completely lost, in regard to politics, when that is their only source. But, I find if I want to discuss the Mandela effect, Chemtrails or that NASA is probably hiding things from us (those are just random examples), people that wouldn't have in the past will happily listen and be interested.

I would call that awakening. The main problem with people choosing to remain asleep is because the majority is in that state and to connect with that group it's easier to be the same. Like dreaming the same dream, those awake still dream but it's a different dream with little connections so the contact is less and that is the difficult part, besides ridicule or having one's worth from the group perspective lowered (afterall such an individual follows a different truth with a different destination, it's not long term - something which can be invested in).

The good news is once someone is awakened, they will likely pass it down to their children and that is almost irreversible, unless the child completely gives up their parents so they can dream the same dream as the majority.

There is also another problem with being awakened. While asleep people don't have to know what kind of dark things go on in society. They can just ignore it somehow, pretend it's not true and the endorfine level in their brain will remain the same. But the awakened sooner or later have to think about the dark things and somehow reconcile themselves with it because they usually play a part in it. Like paying taxes for example, or just simply because in most cases it is futile to try and do anything or change the system, what's someone's view or awakened opinion worth if no action follows from it.

So let's see if I understand this.

You are 'awakened' when/if/ because you have differing opinions to the majority? Is that *it* ?

I have very different opinions to Americans. Am I awakened? I also have very different opinions to the Chinese. Are they awakened? Am I?

The definition of awakened and the follow on, "to what" are meaningless as people here seem to use the term to simply refer to their different or even fringe-state of mind which might be contrary to mainstream.

I'd hardly call that awakened. Or have you been granted some hidden knowledge about reality or spacetime the majority do not know? I'm curious.

Awakening, in my opinion can be achieved in many ways, and there are different degrees of it. It is the point when you realize the world you have lived in is a lie. I got there through honor and revealing the absolute corruption in the government, and expanded from there. It could also be done through spirituality, religion, or many other paths. I think that as a species, we want to believe that everyone else wants to do good like we do. Part of being awakened is realization that there is a dark undercurrent in society, and they are the ones in power. I also think in order to be awakened, one must have a clear understanding of right and wrong. Just knowing the problem serves no purpose. So I also believe awakening requires the willingness to educate others to their blindness. I think that is the reason we all come here, to educate ourselves and each other. We all have blindness in one aspect or another, but overall we have most of the big picture. If we don't have the big picture yet, we are seeking it. I am a little over 30min of Jeroenske's video, and so far this echos my own thinking.
