WTF Chelsea being groomed to run for congress

Let's be fair, is anyone exactly surprised by this? The thing I find funny is that the Post is trying to make it sound like a terrible thing that she's running against a politician that has been in office for 30 years. The exact same kind of politician Trump is supposed to be against. Drain the swamp, right?

she may not ever get elected, look at Jeb Bush he was suppose to carry on the bush dynasty but the people have rejected him more than once.

I know we can expect all of her dirt will be coming out soon enough.

They need to stop this before it's too late.

But I think her own big mouth will be what stops her.

When I was doing my History course, my "Foreign History" selection was the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries. Even though the tutor was a French history specialist, and therefore obsessed, I managed to get in a couple of essays on the Italian cities.

This was no surprise. The Clinton era is now dead and their influence all but powerless.
However, if the Clintons are to be seen again, it'll be there daughter, Chelsie.
I am going to give her the benefit of the doubt. Maybe she might "refine" and do things differently from her parents. The experience and knowledge is there.
Btw, I wouldn't put it pasr us that the Clintons influence is all but gone, I am sure they got enough dirt to command something, if nothing else.

I'm not going to hold the sins of the parents over Chelsea's head. It's not her fault she was spawned from scum. Give her a fair shot and maybe she'll do some good.

Of Course They Are. If we still have a continuous system of government in 100 years there will still be Clintons in it; for better or worse.

As citizens of the US of A, we need to decide if we truly want to have ruling families aka dynasties. I myself feel these families breed more corruption into politics and are a good part of the reason the corruption does not end.

The Clintons have a history of running in the grey areas of the law and we know that hilley has stepped over that line with her handling of classified material, but not convictions.

How long before Chelsea is another elected official selling her favors to the 1% and foreign nations?

On the one hand I agree with you, ruling families accumulate power and wealth over generations and that can be very bad for the public that they "serve".

On the other hand, it's also kind of inevitable. The public is often comforted by that continuity even if the ruling family in question has a bad track record. Also, within the elite, families like that have not only power but a certain credibility (real or imagined) but there none-the-less.
