Obama 08' Comment on Fundamentally Transforming America

Obama mocked Trump by saying we don't need to make America great again, it's already great. But look at what Obama said in 2008, that he planned to “Fundamentally Transform" America. If it's already great why did he want to fundamentally transform it? Obviously it was not already great if he wanted to go this route and start re-shaping it.

To me this says a lot about the two different ideas in this country going on right now. Both positions need to find a common ground. We are really struggling with it. We obviously can't have both.

Why would you think that "fundamentally transform" and "make great again" are in any way synonymous? Come on, now...
